A large part of his dirty or borderline dirty stuff is a result of the allowance of that behavior in the modern era. Racers of an earlier era will tell you if you pulled some of that crap you'd better be prepared for the consequences that would follow you to the pits afterward, i.e. an azz whupping. Grew up in that period and can say from experience it straightened out many a rough driver. It may not be politically correct nowadays but it worked just fine.
Very happy crowd!

That & also in the "old days" driving over the edge came along with risk of getting seriously hurt on a more frequent basis. You see this in all forms of modern racing. There are guys that race midgets that drive as tho they are indestructible. Dirty sliders are the name of the game in that racing.Originally posted by over4T View PostA large part of his dirty or borderline dirty stuff is a result of the allowance of that behavior in the modern era. I don't think it's what the race teams want. It's what is sold to them as a better product and convinced they need it to compete. The high costs are about to break a few teams.Originally posted by Fast Wheels View PostThese high dollar national drivers are the reason local super late model racing is fading away. Lucas and world of outlaws cater only to them and have allowed the cost of racing to skyrocket because this is what these race teams want.
so every time any of these race teams blow one of their time bomb high dollar motors, itās a great thing. He went through 2 last weekend.

Bobby probably would have actually made it to NASCAR if he wasnāt surrounded by a constant circus.

Nope they had no money to bring to the table. Has nothing to do with the people around them. There is some good people around them. It's one thing to run a late model team but, it's a whole new game running a Nascar team. Not matter what series you run.

If midgets and sprints pulled the moves Bobby does, people would dieOriginally posted by kidrock View PostI'm still a fan of Pierce. People have become to soft when it comes to late model racing. I guess I'm just used to watching the midgets and Sprint cars doing sliders all night long. HH25 you're right Bobby is not there to make friends. He's there to cash the check and he drives hard to do just that. The bank doesn't care if some feelings get hurt along the way. lolModern Day Spec Wedge Racing

"Slide or Die"- Thomas "T-Mez" Meseraull
"Slide or Die" is the signature catchphrase and racing mantra of American dirt track auto racing driver Thomas "T-Mez" Meseraull.
In the world of open-wheel dirt track racing (like USAC Sprint Cars and Midgets), a "slider" (slide job) is an aggressive overtaking maneuver where a driver launches their car sideways across the track to clear another car and take away their line.
For Meseraull, the phrase represents both a literal driving style and a broader philosophy:- The Racing Philosophy: Meseraull has explained it as a slang phrase about escaping into the pure freedom of racing, stating, "Without dirt track racing, life isn't worth living. To be denied the right to drive sideways is a fate worse than death."
- The High-Stakes Reality: It highlights the "all-or-nothing" nature of his driving. During high-intensity events like the Chili Bowl Nationals, he has frequently described chaotic, edge-of-your-seat track conditions as "slide or die" situations where you either make the pass or end up in the wall.
- The Brand: "Slide or Die" is heavily integrated into his popularTmezTv YouTube channel and serves as the main slogan for his official apparel and merchandise lines.

Larson and Abreu are two of the best at sliding someone and parking it on their nose to take away the guys line and momentum.
I'll also add that they are 2 of the best open wheel guys today.8/13/16
