Billy Moyer 800 wins

I'm never said guys weren't tricking stuff out. That's what made them real racers, the ability to take what they had make it work, find a secret hear and there..... Push the rule book.

Guys are doing that now as well....... But they got a lot of technology at there disposal. Crew chiefs have engineering degrees. A local guy can go out and buy the latest stuff. If that don't work they'll move on to the next chaasis/shock combo.

Great , we have met in the middle and completely agree..........there was technology back then too, they just didn't call it that......I believe the term was rig it and welderup , let's see what this will make it do!!!lol

Okfine, hey you were the one that opened up a can of worms. I know for a fact that Moyer faced tough competition pretty much all his life. I remembered back in the day Iowa had some of best racers in the country. If you look at those world 100 races in the past you will see a lot of those guys back in there were from Iowa. Then you had the Kosiski's from Nebraska and they are all in the Hall of Fame. Cripes look at the Hall of fame and see how many are in from Iowa.

Moyer is more then a Legend. There is a reason why he won 800. Heck he was a hell of a Motorcycle racer too.

Nobody has been in the same class with Davenport this year. So I guess all of his wins this year are against less than stellar fields and he hasn't accomplished much of anything this year. Just using the same stupid logic posted here.

I just hope that he doesn't retire after this season like people think he will. Always like seeing the #21 at the track. He is one of the best ever to get behind the wheel of a race car. To be winning races after all these years is amazing, the man is the best in my opinion.

I believe he raced Karts,Kids modz crates and then onto supers.... I may be wrong so someone please clarify...

The only question I have is who can't add?(I guess the announcer at West Liberty) Because when Billy won at West Liberty last Tuesday night they announced it was his 795th or 796th win.

Okfine isn't disputing that Moyer is good badlandsbandit..... What he is trying to get you to see is that the talent pool now days versus back then is much deeper! Billy has always ran against some of the best in the business there's no denying that... But here's a question for everyone...... Everyone's bashed on the Woo boys for skipping the north/south100 but where was Moyer? He was in Iowa running for $5000 not $50,000 in Kentucky!!!

He was running for 2 races that paid 5k each. Which probably made him more money(not counting if there was appearance fee), than if he would've went to N/S.

He was in West Liberty racing for 10k.....where were the rest of the heavy hitters?

AND TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, THE HEAVY HITTERS WERE IN FLO TOWN......THE ONLY 2015 HEAVY THAT WOO HAS WAS AT THE BEACH.
