Don't know how much bigger The Chili Bowl can get. The count as of now goes like this:

    335 entries, 316 confirmed drivers, 236 cities, 69 Rookies, 52 former feature starters, 34 states, 8 former Champs, & 5 countries.

McCreadie is looking to bounce back from last year. He wasn't able to get in the big show last year. This will be Brian Shirley's 3rd or 4th try at CB. Hopefully he can still be racing late in the evening on Saturday, too!

I'm hoping Sarah Fisher has a good showing at the CB, too. I remember Sarah mixing it up pretty well with the WoO boys back before she started driving Indy Cars.

Several NASCAR guys will also be trying their hand at getting a Golden Driller trophy, Justin Algaier, Alex Bowman, Kyle Larson, JJ Yeley, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and maybe 1 or 2 more that I'm forgetting.

Stenhouse Jr. looks to be tough this year. He's already won the dirt indoor event at Du Quoin on December 19th of last year coming from dead last in the a-main putting on one hell of a show in the process.

Can't hardly wait to head for Tulsa a week from Monday!!

Rico winning again would be good, plunks. Kyle Larson finally getting his Chili Bowl win would be good as well.

That sounds good since that will include Christopher Bell and Tanner Thorson.

Yea, they're both pretty short, especially Rico, but I'm thinkin' either one is more than capable of takin' home the Golden Driller, especially given the fact they're driving cars owned and prepared by the best midget owner/mechanic in the world today.

But hey, that's why they run the races. Ya' never know how it's gonna turn out.

Speedway Illustrated had a good article on the Kunz Brothers CIRF, you catch it?
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.

I did read it c n b f. Great read! Sprint Car & Midget Magazine also did a good article on Keith & Rusty a while back.

Keith Kunz and Pete Willoughby took over right where Steve Lewis and Bob East left off in regards to success in midget racing. Keith's older brother Rusty has done pretty well in his own right, as well. Before Keith & Pete are done their list of drivers that have sat in the seats of their midgets will read like a who's who of dirt track racing.

And the Kunz brothers had some humble beginnings in Springfield, Illinois working with Ray Callahan who was the father of Bullit dirt late model chassis. In fact Keith Kunz midget chassis are known as Bullit chassis.
