There was just not enuff people too pay for them.. they lost money on them but did not drop them cause they said if you say you are going too run them Run them....I think if times were not where money was low (for people going) it may have worked .. Timing was not good, For Me a well run Sprint show is Great ..But I am not like most Late M fans...
I am with you they need run MOWA and they need too do FarmerCity and Fairbury on the same weekend like a 2 day show....So sprint fans can make a weekend of it.....
You make some good points, especially about the late model fans crying and a sprint weekend at FC and FALS. The tracks that know how to organize and run an efficient sprint car race won't have any complaints on push starting. The sprint car racing at FC was some good racing but it was unsanctioned and may not have had a points fund payout. Lets face it, FC is not fertile sprint car territory and most of the good sprint cars and drivers are East across the Illinois-Indiana line and they have several options over there that don't involve as much travel, have a better pay out and have a point fund. I commend FC for trying. Unfortunately FC is just too deep in late model country.

You're absolutely correct WWMF, especially at places like FALS and FC, among a few others. In my opinion FALS is doing it right by running the POWRi National Midgets with the late models and mortifieds. By grouping the classes in such a way they theoretically will at the least be assured of the late model and mortified crowd.

La Salle, on the other hand somehow gets a huge crowd for MOWA/IRA Waite Jr. Memorial event.

There are many fans that would salivate over a points paying USAC National Sprint Car date at FALS. As well as FALS prepares and maintains the track on a regular basis it would be a GREAT show.
