    Tyler County Speedway-Middlbourne, West Virginia
    Fairbury American Legion Speedway-Fairbury, Illinois
    Knoxville Raceway-Knoxville, Iowa
    Tri State Speedway-Haubstadt, Indiana
    Lucas Oil Speedway-Wheatland, Missouri

I have several other tracks that I personally like for different reasons, that don't always come down to good racing. But as far as racing goes, these 5 are about as good as you can get.

Charlotte- Great facility for any race fan.. World Finals is a must trip, enjoy it annually as a way to close out the season..

            Eldora- No explanation needed

Potomac- The raciest track on the east coast, jmo.. Always produces great racing on the high banks, even without big car counts..

VMS- Awesome facilities for fans and drivers alike.. The owners/management are the nicest group I've ever been around... Bologna burger is a must try...

Knoxville- Quickly becoming one of my favorites.. Always seems to produce good racing and great finishes..

I also have a couple on my bucket list that I've heard good things about: FALS, Duck River, Tyler County, Atomic, and Wheatland just rattle of a few..

Agree with Flagone, I enjoy threads like these.. Gives insight about tracks that some may have never heard of/been to..

                Tracks I've attended:
Eldora - Great atmosphere, very fast racing, most money on the line
Charlotte - haven't been since Colossal 100 days but, it is excellent
Columbus (Bullring) - sucks that they don't have big late model events anymore, great track!
Misc, I go to these places all the time and I love them: North Georgia, Cleveland, Rome, Dixie

Two tracks that are dead now that were awesome are both in Tennessee, Atomic and Golden Mountain. Wish those places were still around.

Bucket list: Knoxville, Fairbury, Cedar Lake, Volusia

Can only mention tracks ive been to but in no particular order.
                  Potomac Speedway, Budds Creek MD.
                  Screven Motor Speedway, Sylvania GA.
The Dirt Track at Charlotte, NC
Volusia Speedway Park, DeLeon Springs FL.
                  Virginia Motor Speedway, Jamaica VA.
There were a few others that have either closed or the track is just crap now compared to how they use to be..

We'll count 'em down from #5 to #1.

#5. MACON SPEEDWAY, Macon, Illlinois. This place provides great racing no matter what type racecars. Doesn't matter if it's dirt lates, midgets or sprint cars it's a certainty the show will be a good one. Multiple grooves is usually the norm unless they have too many support classes.

#4. EDORA SPEEDWAY, New Weston, Ohio. Usually lives up to it's billling regardless of what type racecar is in action. Not much more detail needed on this place but beware of thieves.

#3. THE BELLEVILLE HIGHBANKS, Belleville, Kansas. This is the nastiest, bad fast joint we've ever seen. The Highbanks is a circular full half mile banked at about 25° and the fast way is right up by the outside wall. Never seen anything race there accept midgets and USAC Silver Crown Champ Cars but if the track is right it's obvious that just about anything will be exciting on The Highbanks. It the track is right there is plenty of passing and the high speed sliders will have you holding your breath.

#2. PERRIS AUTO SPEEDWAY, Perris, California. One of the best facilities we've ever had the privilege of watching a race at in regards to seating and amenities. One of the best announcers in the business, too! The track is a short half mile that is usually as tacky fast with a cushion and multiple grooves following the A-main as most Midwest tracks are following qualifications. It's in a setting of mountains and desert that is somewhat unique compared to flatland tracks. Top notch racing is the norm at The PAS.

#1. And the number 1 MUST SEE dirt track is VENTURA RACEWAY, Ventura California. This is the epitome of both racing charm and great competition. This track sets about a football field from the Pacific Ocean. It's a short 1/4 mile with some significant banking. Besides being the coolest setting you'll ever see the track provides racing action that is second to none with some of the best facilities you'll find anywhere, as well. We'll be making our 2nd visit to Ventura over Thanksgiving this year for the 76th running of the Turkey Night Grand Prix. Very much looking forward to that trip!! This place should be on every dirt track fans' bucket list!

                      1. Dubuque Speedway- Dubuque, IA
                      2. Knoxville IA
                      3. Fairbury
                      4. Eldora
                      5. I-80 speedway, greenwood NE

Duck River - If you've ever got seven to nine hours to kill and love a good super late model show, this place is for you. It's definitely my favorite track to watch supers race on.

Ponderosa - Other than the race last October that Madden won that got pretty locked downy, it's always been a racy little place from top to bottom every time I've been there.

Tazewell - I haven't been to every track yet, but the speed there is like nothing else I've seen. Say what you will about the actual racing, and it can suck, but hot laps are (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) near worth the price of admission.

                        Richmond - lol jk

Smoky Mountain - Simply the best ran track in the state. That counts for something, I guess.

                          1. Lernerville. Best weekly show in the country. Three headline divisions every Friday night. Specials don't have a pile of support divisions. The racing is always good, even when it slicks off.

                          2. Lincoln, PA. I know, I know, this is a late model board and Lincoln is a sprint car track, but the racing is incredible there.

                          3. Tyler County. Yeah, it's got, uh, rustic facilities and it's dusty as hell. The racing is generally incredible though. If you're a hardcore fan, you have to see it someday. Just leave the wife/girlfriend at home.

                          4. Grandview. Again, it's not really a late model track, but it's a very racy track up there on that hill. The Freedom 76er is a special (358 modifieds) that every fan should see one day. The winners always come from the back because of inversions.

                          5. VMS. The facilities there are absolutely gorgeous. The racing the times I've been there was good, too.

Top 5 in no particular order

Depends on the night so can't say every night each one is right there.

1.)Atomic-Tied for best race I've ever seen was here for a Xtreme late model race
2.)Eldora-And here for the 2006 World 100 I think it was.
3.)Florence-Black slick, but still racy I'd hate to admit.
                            4.)Lernerville-Always a great place.
5.)Gas City-Only was there once. But I liked it. Had a lot of the good non winged drivers there. And I think it was only a regular show.
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.

I am going to throw a West Coast theme to this very fun thread. My top 5 picks in no order.

                              1. Bakersfield Speedway, an older track that has such great racing, great sightlines and good crowds. In my view the best track in California for Late Models and the most diverse schedule.

                              2. Santa Maria Speedway, a very longstanding track on the central coast. Usually very nice temps, rarely hot. Great sightlines, great beer and good racing.

                              3. Perris Auto Speedway, while very pricey to park, get in , eat and or drink, the facility is so nice and the racing is always good as that track has a very well prepped dirt. A well laid out track, great lights, excellent sound system.

                              4. The Dirt Track @ Las Vegas Speedway, it's Vegas!!!!!! Good facility.

                              5. Silver Dollar Speedway, this place is just a cool joint, tight and super racy.

With all due respect as we all have our opinions, I strongly disagree with CIRF's view that Ventura is the best of 'em all out there. I went to Ventura since the early days and until I moved out of the state, located on the beach, yes, good racing? Sometimes, that track usually has so much flippin', wreckin', and yellows it can kill the flow of the program. Saw probably 75+ shows there. That and "screamin" Jim Naylor yelling on the P.A. can get to you, or fire you up. Costly to see a show there as well.

                                I-55 Raceway (Pevely, MO)
