I haven't been to chili bowl Fryeguy but I'm pretty sure dirt late model racing is more popular than open wheel racing and I said a few key things would have to happen first..don't assume what I do and do not have an idea about. And before you say oh I wouldn't say it's more popular than midget racing..what has more threads and discussion on these websites midgets or late model????

If you are basing popularity off 4m.net then you are a bigger moron than I thought...Originally posted by Illtsate32 View PostI haven't been to chili bowl Fryeguy but I'm pretty sure dirt late model racing is more popular than open wheel racing and I said a few key things would have to happen first..don't assume what I do and do not have an idea about. The Chili Bowl is such a big event that it has saved an entire class of racing. Of course there are exceptions, but owners have midgets to run the Chili Bowl. If the Chili Bowl stopped, there wouldn't be 10 new midget chassis a year sold in the U.S. Australia may hang on a little longer. If it wasn't for the Chili Bowl, USAC would be even thinner than it already is, and possibly defunct. If it wasn't for the Chili Bowl, POWRI would have never made it. Lots of youngsters in the mid west with rich parents that run that series hoping to be the next Christopher Bell, would have never bought a midget if not for the Chili Bowl. Not trying to sound like Chili Bowl homer, I can't stand the Hahn's, but if you've never been you don't get it.
And don't even get me started on the Tulsa Shootout....amazing event. (look it up)

I don't have to insult you "tough guy"... You do that pretty well on your own... This race will never have the popularity, the intense feeling, the randomness the Chili Bowl Nationals has... You can't simply just jump into a late Model as easily as a Midget... Some teams bring 5 midgets and rent each one for 5-8k... You flip them, you replace some bolt ons and you are back racing that night... That's impossible with a Dirt Late Model or Modified... Again, you've never been to Tulsa... So you have absolutely no clue what you are talking about... So until you head to Tulsa Oklahoma in January, it would be wise to enjoy the Gateway Nationals and keep your mouth shut...Originally posted by Illtsate32 View PostHey tmac il be at tri city for the Lucas race and Macon the following night let's meet up and call me a moron to my face and we will talk about it..name a time to meet... my opinion that dirt late model racing is more popular than midget racing makes me a moron? Well I say it will become more popular if the track races like the other two 5th miles I mentioned..I wasn't knocking the chili bowl by any means..its my opinion and it has yet to be seen..but no need for disrespect....the way you talk on here if you talk to people in the real world like that I imagine you have gotten your mouth shut for you a few timesLast edited by Illtsate32; 04-26-2016, 04:35 PM.

It's a great idea.......hope they can pull it off.Originally posted by zach51 View PostI feel like they are really going to have to pull off a miracle with the banking. If they can do it, it might be decent. If it is less than 15 degrees, they are in trouble.
This whole make believed maxxed out lists rumor is starting to sour the stew ......well thought out , well planned hype for an event is a great way to promote it.
Sketchy, he said she said hyperbole is not.
Anyone that has been around dirt racing long enough knows that you are not going to get 400 teams all at once to commit and pay entry fee into a race that's 9 months away( the maxxed field statement was made in March) ......it's just doesn't and didn't happen that way.
Somebody prove me wrong and I will recant every word and offer up the most sincerest of apologies to anyone offended.Where is the move over flag when you need it?????
