As we have seen a complaint on this site about entry fees, transponder rentals, etc on the new ULTIMATE Bob series, I am more than willing to address it right here openly and in front of the world. If you have a comment in the future about something we do, please feel free to send us a email as we see that a lot quicker or even send it to our face book page. Honestly we do not get on the forums much anymore hence comments such as this. I am not going to get into a contest on a message board with someone I don't even know. Heck you could be a 12 year old arguing and that would be a waste of time. If you don't understand, ask. Pretty simple really.
The original post was put out there almost like we were hiding something. That is never the case with this company. The items listed below are facts, not opinions. Keep in mind this is just the series expenses, not including the tracks which of course have their own set of expenses.
$3000 to win and $105 entry fee. You bet. This was discussed honestly and openly with every single team we have spoken too and not one comment in a negative way was ever made about it. Nothing was hidden. $5 goes to lab for tire samples that the teams could hold us accountable to post and prove to them the tires have actually been tested.
Complete $3000 to win pay out:
$3000, $1500, $1000, $850, $750, $650, $600, $550, $500, $490, $480, $470, $460, $450, $440, $430, $420, $410, $400 - 24th.
$400 to start minimum even at a $3000 to win event. Thats what every team asked us about and said that was the very most important thing to them.
$20 transponder fee. Well that system cost over $15,000. The person doing the scoring usually gets $5 per transponder or a set fee.
Officials cost estimated $800 per event. Of course everyone says we don't pay enough at that. too lol.
Fire works: $300 per race
Posters/fliers $200 per race
Truck/trailer/radios/other goodies Conservative estimate: $65,000 - $70,000. Commercial insurance which isn't cheap. Work mans compensation and 3 million in general liability insurance.
Office staff every week even as minimal as ours is.
I personally do not draw a salary and never have.
Point fund guaranteed of $15,000 first season.
If anyone can figure out how to do this and make money by charging a $100 entry fee, I will hire you and pay you whatever because you are a genius. I have been doing it for 13 years and still trying to figure it out.
Do we let other engines run? Yes by the rules the teams themselves set.
Do we own the FASTRAK Series? Yes we do and also take a lot of pride in it too. We started crate late model racing in this country and we think its been good for the sport. Its still the highest point fund in the US for that class and has the strongest purses as well. In one weekend we pay over $70,000 to crate late models at our World Championship. Its been here 13 years now so I guess we are doing something right, maybe? LOL
I've been hearing for years all the millions we make. Really? I must have been adding the totals incorrectly for 13 years because I still haven't figured it out LOL.
Listen this is a long post and I sincerely thank you for taking the time to read it all. Please keep in mind when someone post something negative on a message board without knowing all the facts, there is probably an ulterior motive. Don't let them play you that way. They want to talk about we hurt the sport when in fact negative statements on message boards are more damaging than most things. I can't speak for all the series, but I can speak for ours. All anyone ever has to do is ask a question and you will get 100% of the truth. When the truth no longer works, then I retire for good.
