I was trying to find a picture to post but nothing. His LR grooves on that tire were way wider than anyone elses in the hot lap pictures i saw. Maybe thats why he has been late so much lately, they are trying to get it on at the last second so it doesn't soak in as deep and wears off. But once that tire explodes i think the gig is up. Rarely does a LR come apart like that.

I found a thread from back in 2011 on 4 m after about a 30 second search that echoes the same mistrust and concern of how the rules and testing is implemented.. And I didn't have the first post in it.............nobody complaining about it, pfffffft, give me a break. And the lab is credible and totally above reproach because a lot of people use them??? A lot of people used Enron,Fannie May and Freddie Mac too. Status quo sheep just crack me up.

I remember the first one was back in the early 80s. as for someone that asked about the benchmark, it's whatever hoosier has submitted to the lab as the chemical makeup of the tire. it is given to them at the start of the season for the compounds. if hoosier runs out of what they were making tires with when they gave the lab the benchmark, it won't match the benchmark. or if someone returns or trades in a tire from another batch and then it's sold to someone this year, it doesn't meet the benchmark. hoosier also has started making lots of tires in Taiwan to save costs. think they have the same chemical make up as the ones they make here for their testing tires that are given to the lab for the benchmark? since wrg doesn't post the results, does anyone even know they sent all 32 samples in? press release only stated that 32 were COLLECTED and 5 came back as failed. also took over 2 weeks for results when they take 3-4 days and most all series know results by the following weekend. there are way too many variables to consider other than just someone did or did not soak their tires.
We have sammys word that all 32 were sent in..........that's all we need right?

No need for any documentation, publication, or professional courtesy.......just need the word of the guy that says he did.

Good enough for me, how bout everybody else?

    Excellent post by the way.

The rest of what he said only defined what I pointed out.......that he has been doing it the same way for 10 years.

Can you name anything of consequence involving dirt late models that has not evolved over the last ten years except the shaky tire enforcement rule?

Actually tiddy, it is you that is incorrect on this one........this lab is used by more than just the wrg.

This is the same lab that got it wrong before in a pretty big non wrg event......they also do some other series stuff.

It's not their bread and butter( at least not yet), but they don't just service Sam and the wrg.

I do, however find it funny that the ones butthurt over this seem to forget that 27 other guys had no problems passing the same test. The lab is obviously credible since they are used by numerous organizations (some not even dirt circle track), the samples were sealed and signed....... yet the fans of the guilty ones want more done.
