I like the art of the race itself..........not the type of vehicles in it.Originally posted by old fan View Postno nothing better than a a full field of super lates and a mods sometimes even the b \mods put on a great show also
Sure I love the 800/900hp rocketships, but I really wouldn't lose a ton of sleep if there were nothing but hobby stocks on a racey track the rest of my life........would mean I would just watch more boat racing I guess?Where is the move over flag when you need it?????

Should certainly be part of the process.....Originally posted by siderman View PostSamples should be properly maintained (sealed by UMP and the drivers) so that if a driver wants the sample tested in another lab the integrity of the sample is protected for both the series and the driver.
At my work if someone is drug tested you are advised to go to the hospital and get your own test immediately if you are sure your clean just in case. If I was a driver and I really believed I was not cheating I would want a fair opportunity to have an independent lab test it without any chance of the sample being compromised.Where is the move over flag when you need it?????

Yep. I have mounted hundreds of them so sue away. Oh thats right, they wont even comment on this issue as they are as guilty as the cheaters... They cheated and got caught, it is that simple. More cheated and didnt get caught, it is as simple as that...Originally posted by formercrewguy View PostYou of course can back that up with proof, right? You can be sued for making stupid comments like that.

This lab, that lab, he said he wasnt cheating and said he was set up, it was a bad test, he is a nice guy and wouldnt do that, blah blah blah. This isnt a drug test and the rules are posted. When you sign in the pit gate you accept those rules and have zero options other than what the rules say. Sorry you are all so crushed that your Hero's are a bunch of cheater's but they are... I do feel bad for all you Bloomer fans. I mean how many races has he won legal??????

back in this thread somewhere , someone talked about terry casey getting caught and telling them that he bought the tire softener from bloomquist. a couple of years ago, there was a guy on here that called himself "crown cuts". he was a chemical salesman and was trying to sell tire softener and claiming it was undetectable. a little while after that, someone on here said bloomquist has hired that guy. I realize that this is all he said crap, but I wouldn't be surprised. when someone says that there product can't be detected, that becomes a challenge for the labs and with time they will find a way. so, back to oldfart50's last question, "how many races has he won legal?" how about owens? if shephard is still driving the house car for rocket, should Richards find someone else to drive?

Really??Originally posted by old fan View Postthose classes you speak of is a thing of the past
Here in Pa. there is a pro/street stock series called the Penn/Ohio Series that is averaging 40+ cars for their races so far this season. One race drew 50+ pro/street stocks. The racing is excellent!
If any divisions are becoming a "thing of the past" it is the super lates and 410 sprint cars.

I don't necessarily root for any driver. All I'm saying is if I was any driver I would like a quality system in place to ensure I have a way to ensure samples can be retested later without fear of the sample being compromised. Only way to ensure that is for the series and the driver to seal two samples when they are cut out of the tire. One is sent to the lab, the other is stored somewhere in case the driver wants a retest.

That's exactly right in some regions the super lates are becoming a thing of the past at some local tracks and at others their still doing ok. same thing for other classes some may be doing better in one region but, not another.Originally posted by old fan View Postdifferent regions look different
as far as the cheating it's been going on for a very long time.

Yes, yes, and yes...........I'm of the same opinion.Originally posted by siderman View PostI don't necessarily root for any driver. If you're going to test just make sure it's done fairly and that the chain of command isn't compromised and rife with inuendo.
Has absolutely zero to do with favorite driver this or that.......and fwiw, these 5 at eldora aren't even close to any of my favorites with the exception maybe being Owens, I do like him as a person, but not in my circle of guys I ardently pull for.Where is the move over flag when you need it?????
