What is a good size carb for a 604. Also curious about E-85 vs pump gas or race fuel. I talked to several guys at Dixie speedway that say they are just running pump gas and I know a few others that are running E-85.

this is a very common question on here and you are going to see alot of good names pop up and most of them are very reputable and good builders------keep in mind crate carbs are their own breed with special calibration---- make sure you choose a builder with crate carb expierience.
we use exclusively Stealth carburetors here @ Race-1
and we recommend the new 700cfm carb for best all around use
you can see them on our website @ www.race-1.com

Brad helped us with our purchase of Stealth 700 cfm carb. We bolted the carb on out of the box and it has performed flawlessly without a single adjustment. Our 604 has KSE rear pump, KSE fuel pressue regulator on Ratman fuel. It is also 6 lbs lighter than Holley/Willy's Crate carb. I would not have believed it, but weighed them side by side. I would recommend this carb and you cannot go wrong with purchase made from Race-1. Brad has listened and responded to every technical question we have had.

Some series and tracks are not allowing E85 so make sure that all tracks or series that you may run allow it before buying the carb for it.Originally posted by 50j View PostI use a lightweight all aluminum JDR E-85 carb on a 604 and it's been flawless. It made more power than oxygenated gas and the fuel is cheap.
