When scaling your car will there be a diffrence on a cold day or a hot day? Any info on this would help.

Temp has nothing to do with weight, You may have to allow the shocks to settle longer as the oils will be stiffer but that is all.

Impossible when the shocks have the coil springs that are holding the car up wrapped around them.

what about scaling with or without the driver in the car? Logic says to scale it with the driver in the car or put appropriate weight in the seat to make up for the driver. Thats 100-200+ lbs of left side weight that isnt showing up on the scales. hhhhmmmmmm

You'll get differing opinions on this but mine is this: scale with the driver in the car.
Putting the weight of the driver in the seat doesn't simulate the weight of the driver. We aren't racing in the fetal position and legs are heavy.
With that being said, the most important thing is that you scale the same way EVERY time and take good notes. As long as you aren't changing drivers or your driver doesn't fluctuate weight much, you should be able to reproduce about any setup without him as long as you knew what the numbers were both with and without.
We always scale with driver to hit our target numbers and then also note what the numbers are without driver afterwards so that we can reproduce it either way.
We have noticed that depending on spring package and bar angles, the cross weight numbers might not always come out just right but left and rear are always dead on.

With or without the driver depends on the builder of the chassis also. Some chassis setup pages are set up without the driver. The link angles and all the settings were setup and recorded without the driver. They built it considering the average weight of 200lbs. If the driver weighed more you had to add weight to the seat.
