3 wheel brakes

3wheel brakes or proportion valves are not allowed in our rules and my driver is a good trail braker. Any ideas to reduce brake pressure considerably?

Put a smaller caliper with smaller pistons on the rf.

How small of an orifice would you go with? Would you be concerned with the caliber releasing?? thanks for your time

Like .050". It may drag a little. If driver isn't on the brakes very long or hard, should be ok.

Try this so a restrictor doesn't keep the brake on




Red is the restrictor and blue is a one way valve to release pressure around the restrictor.

What if you were to set the car up for 3 wheel brakes, with the right front cut off, but you also had an extra brake pedal in the drivers tub area, and this extra brake pedal was only used to trigger the rf brake? This extra pedal could be far off to the right side of the drivers footwell. Do you think anyone would actually notice the extra brake pedal? I doubt that anyone, including the tech man would ever notice. Never overestimate the intelligence of an adversary.

see if you can find a split master cylinder for a Disk/Drum setup that has two different size pistons in the master cylinder and use it for your fronts only. Use the disk outlet for the left front and the drum outlet for the right front. They are not a super common item but can be found.

Use an old-fashioned pull handle like on the old Midgets for the RF brake only? The tech guy probably won't like that either if/once he figures it out.

Make the clutch pedal a brake pedal!
No rules that say anything about shutoff valves on the clutch.
When the switch is open, fluid is bypassed sent to the clutch, when the switch is closed, fluid is sent to the caliper.
