I use a Snap-On buffer varible speed buffer that i bought 10 yrs ago and that seems to work great. One thing you got to look at is the weight.... alot of prep in the tire department is key and you dont want to be muscling a heavy peice around if you can use something just as good that weighs 2 pounds less. Who knows if Snap-On makes that same buffer but i like it way better than the dewalt. I use 36 grit mostly but i am not preparing for as many tracks as others are either. Good luck and hope you get the info you need.

I was just checking out HF, are you guys talking about using the grinders or polishers, the grinders that I looked at are not speed adjustable, but the polishers are variable speed.
