belt numbers

In the past I have run the esslinger power pulley and a stock type waterpump, steel, pulley. I have gotten an alum esslilnger 7" and I am not sure of the belt size to use with this setup.Since the stock pulley is on the shy side of 6" I would think the numb er I used with it would be wrong for the Power pulley and the E 7" aluminum. Thanks.

Get a belt that has the right cross section & is too long, cut it and wrap the pulleys then trim at the over lap. Take it to a "real "parts store, the belts are marked with a number that relates to section and length. They should be able to get you real close. Or you could wuss out and add a power steering pump or an alternator to use as an adjuster.

We have an alternator so we can just run one belt.

The 7" WP pulley and 4" power pulley use a 15301 belt between them. If you're also driving an alternator the as stated you just need to measure it with a junk belt cut to lentgh, just slightly shorter than where you want to run the alternator adjustment.
