i got a alky carb for my mini stock and was wondering were i should start jet wise i ran 76 jets n my gas carb somebody said double it is that right it came with 162 and 164 jets

Depends on what metering block you have. Does the metering block accept the large Alky jets? If so, 140's is in the ballpark.If it has the hole above the jets *which I don't like* then depending on the hole size probably 84's or so.BUCKLE UP NOW, YA HEAR?

Is there any thing more you got to do to the motor to run alky? And do you notice a performace dif?

Regular ole holley regulator will work. Use the holley needle and seat brand only and around 6.5 on the fuel pressure. The holley brand needle and seat will hold more pressure before over running the float. Get everything warm and set the idle. The idle will tend to rise after a heat race because heat makes the engine more efficient with alky making it have a leaner idle when warm and idling up.BUCKLE UP NOW, YA HEAR?
