not sure where you are from but here in northern california there are not very many merkurs around although i have worked on some. the pictures that car62 showed are about the best i have seen. i run a small single wire alt on my pinto using a modified stock alt mount and wouldn't run without one again. the mount car62 shows looks nice and i will make one like that for my mustang.
Olin,you have to use a small diameter waterpump pulley,the 7" Esslinger wont clear,the one we used at the time was from raceeng,the new setup we are using the super light serpentine setup from cheaphp.com http://www.needhp.com/ford23serpenti...pulleykit.aspx
