Spit a drive shaft few weeks back. Replaced yoke and seal. Noticed leaking. Got under it and noticed that I can move my yoke back forth some. Feels like the input shaft is what's moving. Is this normal? Don't seem right to me but I'm not a rear end guy.

The newer yokes are about 1/4 inch longer than the old ones. The old ones had a spacer behind the yoke for the yoke to tighten up against. It sounds like you replaced the long style with a short one. You are going to have to get a spacer.

the spacer fits over the splines so yoke butts against or small diameter between end of shaft and bottom of yoke bore?To be the man, you have to beat the man!
