    which roller rockers are best?

i see alot of inexpensive stainless roller rockers on ebay for around 150 bucks. are these any good. as with most parts you get what you pay for. looking for a rocker that will clear 1.550 roller spring and perform well to 7500 rpm with psi 1243 spring. stainless would be best but really hate to pay $300 for em thats half way to a shaft system. what are yall runnin thats workin

thats a pretty stiff spring for $150 china rockers. doesnt make any sense to spend $400 on top of the line valve springs and skimp on rockers. crower backset rockers would be my choice. if moneys tight try finding some good used ones ones.

they are used bush qualify springs otherwise i couldn afford them . i prob will wait till the right rocker comes available at the right price. pretty sceptical of china parts too. unless someone really could vouch for em. hearing good things about scorpion tho so ? will wait a little longer for a quality used set thanks for feedback

Before we went to a head that required a shaft set up, we ran Crower Stainless Steel rockers...You could go to a 1.8 ratio and have various off sets if needed...Best stud mounted rocker that we ran...We also had Comp Pro Magnums, Crane Gold and a couple of other brands of aluminum rockers at one point over the years...

              rockers

I don't believe an aluminum rocker should be on a race engine, if you can afford steel ones.
Back in the day with 5/16 pushrods, lighter valve spring, and lesser rpm's, they were fine, but not any longer. TB

This is a very good engine builder. Tony knows what he is talking about and has many dyno runs to prove it.If you could see what aluminum does at 250 degrees you would see where he is coming from.

I LOVE that they have a guarantee! Will they replace your engine when one breaks, sticks the valve open and busts the piston at 7000RPM? It will do a lot of good to get a free set of $150 rockers (But I bet they would only replace the broken one) when you have $3000-7000 of engine in a bucket.

Does this mean I should take off the alum. Ones I have now and put the crowlers I been saving for my other motor on?

Its your engine you make the choice but I would follow Tonys advice. You don't see aluminum rockers on Nascar engines and I'll bet they are racing for bigger purses than you are.

Harlandsharp , used the same ones for ten years on 3 different motors.

they offer them in steel bodies and titanium bodies just cost more. on all my jesel stuff they are alluminum but i special ordered them without the lightening package for a more rigid rocker wich jesel actually reccomends. but this is getting a little deep were talking about fixing my bicycle with formula 1 answers. im not running a 1/2 pushrod im not running shaft rockers on this motor im not turning over 7500 rpms. its on some world products heads w .580 lift a good spring 260 duration real soft cam. this motor is intended for a southeast modified/imca not a 460 sb2. so intended budget is around 300 dollars. im aware of all the cup stuff w no adjusters and they dont even have roller tips anymore and all the arguments for mohawk vs u milled vs solid and deflection etc etc etc all of wich i dont care about for this project. actually this is the first motor i have ever built that will use stud mounted rockers. so thats why im asking for a affordable stud mounted rocker for THIS application. appreciate all the info and comments and enjoy reading them but im on a $300 dollar budget for them thanks everybody.
