Have a few question maybe some can help me with.
I understand how to choose a power valve size in a street driven car is it the same for a race car and what do most people run? Primary? Secondary?
We have a 6.5 for a primary and 8.5 in the secondary. These are the power valve that came with the carb when we aquired it from a long time racers that said it was done by a carb/engine builder that used to do his stuff for him. The carb is a 4150 hp main body 750 cfm, it has a quick fuel base plate.
For accl pumps with have a 30cc shot on the primary and a 50cc pump on the secondary. Is this the norm?
The linkage that open the secondarys, do most run a 1 to 1 linkage or the other that are supplied with the base plate such a 60% or 40% linkage on where the secondary open to the primary butterfly's?
The squiters are a 31 primary 25 secondary is this normal or not?
We were told when we got the carb was that is was build to have the secondary to come on soft so you don't break you tires free but still have plenty of fuel down the straight for the top end.
Any help and comments are welcome just trying to learn and find out some things.
