Header Temperature

Just checking to see how hot the headers get with my temp gun, I found 2 tubes right at the head were more than 100 degrees cooler than the rest. Can someone fill me in on whats happening and probable repairs. Thanks

I can't tell you numbers but your two inside 4 and 6, 3 and 5 will always run a little hotter temps because the exhaust ports are right next to one another. If the temps are way different between cylinders though you have a ignition or fuel not getting to that cylinder. Most of the time its ignition first check the basics plugs fouled bad wires etc.

Also check the gaskets. A bad header gasket will cause much higher temps for a cylinder(s). Could be a valve lash issue.

The two cylinders are #2 and #3. What made me take notice was those cylinders were 100+ degrees cooler, not hotter. Could it be incomplete combustion (leaking passed valve not seating). Also power seems a bit down. Thanks

Could be a lash issue, bad plugs, or valves. Have you ran a compression check yet?

what type of intake manifold?
if its a stock those two cylinders feed each other
