    Floater?

I am upgrading to a floater rear end. Are the 31 spline axles for a floater any stronger than the 28's. I know 31's are in stock form, just don't know in floater. All my gears are set up for 28's. Thanks....

31 spline will be stronger if they are thicker. ive never seen a solid floater axle break even in 28 spline. you will be fine.

I've been running 28 spline in my mod for 3 years now. It was easier to get two axles instead of switching spools in all my gears.

31's are stronger/more durable (talking about the spline area, not the whole axle), but 28's will do just fine. They usually will wear out faster, but it's a steel axle so it will still last a long time.

I know a lot of guys used to have a lot of trouble with 28's stripping out during a race, but I haven't heard much about that happening within the past few years.
