they #1 reason they fall into gangs is because there are no parental guidelines at home and the moms are baby daddy ing themselves for income.....don't kid yourself.Originally posted by mcarter815 View PostI'd say rich would be people in the top 1-5% of income in the U.S. There is only so much money a wealthy person can spend. One person can only buy so many cars and TVs. Wealth stagnates at the top and doesn't benefit our economy. Wealth only benefits the economy when it's being spent. I'm already in one of the upper brackets and I'm childless, so I pay a lot in taxes every year already. However, I also get to live a comfortable life because of my being in an upper bracket.
The people living in ghettos are so disadvantaged that most of them lose any hope of getting out. That's why so many fall into the gangs. The gangs are viewed as the only way to progress in their world.
And in my profession I see it every single day.....every single day......every single day.
If you want to spend some of your wealth the way you see fit go right on ahead, don't tell me how to spend mine because you dam sure didn't help me earn it........ill help who I deem is worthy of my assistance, not who you or anyone else tells me to.Where is the move over flag when you need it?????

You're kidding right?Originally posted by mcarter815 View PostWhy are they a sham?
Do you really believe that folks aren't on welfare and driving escalades down to the social services building???Or that they aren't trading their ebt food for pennies on the dollar , or that they aren't having babies to get the benefits?
It is and has been one of the most corrupted programs ever dreamt up by the socialist leaners......it started with great intentions, just like that road to hell.Last edited by Barbecueboy; 06-05-2019, 11:59 AM.Where is the move over flag when you need it?????

While the Rep party itself leaves a lot to be desired, you think they abandoned reason? What on earth do you think the Dems say that is reasonable? you got to be kidding. What one of those nut jobs are you voting for. Their programs are for the absolute ignorant of our society. The Green new deal is so stupid that it defies even consideration. Fossil fuels? These imbeciles don't even know what makes things go. BTW I like Trump and his programs because he actually cares about making this Country work. Get a clueOriginally posted by mcarter815 View PostFormer Republican who is now moderate Dem. I left the Republicans when they abandoned reason.

Let me ask you something. Do you do any work with the poorer people of this land? Do you interact and help poor children try to improve their lives. Are you like those DEM politicians who sit on their perch and tell everyone else how to live? We need to send some of these immigrants to their neighborhoods since they want open borders. Oh wait, they really don't, once the get back in power the will be howling about open borders and with the help of the media, blame the Rep party. By the way, I will answer the questions I ask you. YES. Also I am middle upper class.Originally posted by mcarter815 View PostWhy are they a sham?

Supply side economics doesn't work. We've been trying it for almost forty years and incomes aren't keeping up with inflation. Most people are hired by corporations, not by people. If you tax the CEO, that's not going to cost jobs. The most recent tax break signed by Trump has had no long term effect on the economy. Instead of hiring more people, companies took that extra money and bought back their shares. It was stock brokers on Wall Street who benefited, not the workers in the companies.Originally posted by fastford View Postand when you squeeze the rich , 1-5 % , to take care of entitlements , you are also gone take jobs from the ones that want to work , which eventually leads them to entitlements , statistics show that if you take every dime these 1-5% makes , it is still a drop in the bucket to the demands of entitlements , this is not Sherwood forest , you squeeze the rich , you hurt the poor . the conservative view , and use to be the democratic view , was to help the poor get jobs so they were not on entitlements to start with , or at least get off them , but you go ahead McCarter and explain how you moderate democrat way of thinking is better........

Some of those perpetual welfare families are in former coal towns and are too stubborn to move somewhere that has jobs. Instead they claim "disability."

So that argument only works for the predominantly white coal mining community and not the predominately black community that is stubbornly entrenched in their own towns and city areas with no jobs???Originally posted by mcarter815 View PostSome of those perpetual welfare families are in former coal towns and are too stubborn to move somewhere that has jobs. The assistance that most of them perpetually live on IS their disability......

so what about the companies that are coming back to the US because of the tax breaks? do they not create jobs ? its kind of hard to argue the low unemployment rate and the 50 year low african american unemployment rate ,i guess you think clintons nafta was a good thing right ? you need to watch something besides cnn sometimes , but you want......Originally posted by mcarter815 View PostSupply side economics doesn't work.
