Amazon doesn't rely much on long haul trucking. They have fulfillment centers around the country to shorten delivery time and rely more on air freight than on trucking. The small independent trucking companies around here are busy because of a pipeline issue causing an LP shortage so it's needing to be trucked in. Now that we are starting to get enough LP farmers are finally combining the corn and hauling it to the dryers. Commodity trucking should be shielded for now. The losses in trucking payrolls appear to be tied to a slowdown in manufacturing.

But as you know, things aren't always as they appear......especially when spun to fit a narrative.

I'm very familiar with the Amazon operational model.....and I promise you that not a single one of their fulfillment centers have a landing strip on site.

If he only knew...….we have 1 fulfillment center and 2 distribution centers!I guess those semi's my daughter supervises don't qualify for "trucking industry"! Everything at her distribution system revolves around how many semi-loads arrive every day!
