      Not really. I've seen much less get convicted of 2nd degree. Had he not held his knee on his neck for so long maybe. But for over 8 minutes? Come on man. Defense would need to say their client isn't competent to stand trial if he's that stupid. Plus the apparent bad history between the two.

            With the new hate laws. You are punished for the crime plus what is in your mind, government can read minds. If a black comes forward and testifies that the cop hated Floyd, even if it is not true, the cop is gone. I bet blacks are lined up for miles to be famous, ready to say anything to make money off of the trial. The defense could pea for a light sentence but that would get the country burnt to the ground. Politics will play a big role. Extend the trial out as long as possible so Biden and Stacy will deal with the fall out which is going to get cities burnt no matter what happens.
