Everyone would get a $1,000 a month. The economy can't function if people don't have money to buy stuff. Trickle down theory is bunk and hasn't worked for thirty years. If people has their basic living needs covered, they would be free to pursue their own businesses.

SS is not a socialist program per say. It forces everyone, who pays in, to save for old age, letting the government hold it for them, then later, payout in an orderly manner. But the government spent that, maybe we should make them pay in, but they are broke. Each American use to owe the government about 1/2 million dollars, no telling what that amount is now.
