Well please tell us how it works then……start out with tenured based incentives and preferential treatment.
I’d like to hear about those first.

Don't know anything about tenured based incentives or preferential treatment. My incentive was a paycheck. I worked they paid me. I worked OT they paid me more. Everyone got treated the same.

                  Everyone got treated the same?

So the guy that started 5 years after you did got the same chances for preferred time off, paid the same for doing the same work , didn’t get assigned the crappy stuff etc??

Well that’s different…..treated everyone the same you say? Please do tell us more.

I tried to tell you before it was different where I worked at. As far as the pay once you became a journeyman yes we all got paid the same. As far as crappy jobs. We all had a certain number of buildings we took care off so, no matter if the job was crappy or not you had to do it. as far as time off I didn't have to ask my steward I had to ask my boss and if someone else had the day off and I wanted it I could not bump them out even if I had more seniority. We had a good set of rules that we all agreed to and worked great for 27 years I was there. I know you won't believe it but, I really could care less about that anymore.

                      I believe it.

So essentially what you are saying in real world layman’s terms is --- Your union didn’t protect you at all like other better unions, and yours was a crappy union. Thus you paid union dues and got basically nothing in return, just paying to work, like others have said for a few years now.

You and ss12 need to get on the same page union wise, because he tells a much different union work place story to all of us than you do.

So you know, the above is a trick statement. Watch how you answer, and word your reply --- because one of you two are fibbing about unions. Then again, the cats already out of the bag, so a reply really isn’t necessary unless you want to.

As I like your real world “layman’s terms” view on unions better than what ss12 posts about unions, I’ll take it that you aren’t the one fibbing, and what ss12 posts to ALL of US about the grander of ALL unions is just more fibbing.

I love it when a plan finally comes together, and ones fibbing comes out, to only bite him in the a$$.

I forget? Is it dirtman that’s always telling you and ss12 that unions are just a pay to work, or is it BBQboy, or BJ/CW, or someone else? Either way, they are going to have field day with this and a good laugh. Thanks kidrock, I always thought you were the more honest of the two.

And NO ss12, I’m not jealous. I get paid well for what I do, I get great overtime $$$, my company benefits are wonderful --- and I don’t have to pay union dues to clock in like you and kidrock did.
