Well, at least the kid is in custody and alive and maybe, just maybe we get some answers. Where, when, how do you go so far off the rails that you think it is okay to murder someone just to silence a voice? By the first indications one would think there was stable family and based on the occupations of the parents it would be highly doubtful that they had murderous intent in their value system. How along the way do you lose your kid? Mental health? Medications? Social network? Hey, I've seen some terrific parents raise some awful kids in my time. I've also seen some great kids with great values and independent thought come from garbage parents.

Early indications are that the kid was obsessed with Charlie Kirk. One might say he "despised" Charlie Kirk. Was it really because of something Charlie Kirk said to trip him, or was it simply what his worldview network was saying and reporting on Charlie Kirk? We used to get that all the time from the Limbaugh haters who never really listened to the man, they only listened to what was being said about the man.

Kirk took his show to college campuses. College campuses are usually those places where parents tend to lose their kids to some degree. Parents can give their kids all the upbringing and values they can but they don't have the power of grading and pass/fail influence plus the social pressures on these students. It changes a lot of kids and families, not always for good, not always for bad, but it does effect some changes. By being in that venue of those campuses and challenging with the "Prove Me Wrong" tour, Kirk became very effective. For anyone who watched him a lot he was not combative, he was not insulting, he invited dissenters to the front of the line and engaged in thoughtful and provoking debate. Debate of viewpoints on a college campus. Say it ain't so.

Although now that the lawyers will be involved it is doubtful that the kid will get blabby, it would be really nice if we could get some honest answers. Hey kid, what made you "despise" this man so much for being an effective public speaker that you thought it was okay to commit a gruesome public political assassination? Who was in your network of close friends and confidants, who also may have shared in "despising" the man, who may have encouraged or even assisted somehow in this murderous idea? Where did all the pro-trans, anti-fascist stuff you scribed on the bullets come from? I don't think he existed exclusively in a vacuum. I don't think he had a coach or mentor but I do think he was in a space of like minded thought somewhere along the line. because taking "despise" to the level of a public execution over words is a pretty d@mn big leap.

I think the most likely scenario is that he’s got serious issues and his brain has been fried from the internet.

I had to go back and look, but no one in this thread said anything about the assassins Political party affiliation. Nor did anyone reference the assassins parents Political affiliations.
