    Speed Channel ?

This got started a little on another post.Who all are sick of Nascrap,Monster trucks have to go,Really they are neat to watch once or twice but how much money do theses guys have ? The winner is just the guy that can tear up his truck.Road course racing ? Speed just need to get a balance of racing it seems its all or none. But most of the racing is not what average people race. They need more Late Model Modifieds sprints midgets, some go-kart racing would be good also maybe get some more kids interested in racing.Speed channel could get people back to local track racing. What do you all think Speed needs to do ???

I agree with everything you wrote so much so I tried to contact them over the weekend.went to ther web site and signed up on ther forum so I can bitch and hopfully get ther attention. this past weekend su cked nothing on it's like nascar owns them now. tnn did the same thing when they started out they showed all types of racing and slowly moved to just showing nascar crap and look at them now dried up and blew away.

this new crap show car guys or what ever and the game shows is the worst thing possible to have on a so called race channel.

I get so frustrated with Speed too. The show Pass Time I can handle. It's drag racing and its fun to play along with. Its the American Trucker shows, Car Warriors, thats the stuff that doesn't need to be on there.

There is a lot of really good racing on TV, but its really hard to find. There is a station called MavTV that has a ton of it. But not everyone gets that station. And why is it on that crappy MavTV station and not Speed? I didn't even know I had the station until my cat stepped on the remote and I ended up in that section of the guide.

I couldn't believe what I seen. Tom Bigelow announcing asphalt sprint cars. They are televising the entire series (Saturday at 1pm). Speed is really dropping the ball, and other networks are picking it up and running off with it.

I even watched AMA race last night. Motorcycles on 1 mile dirt oval. What a great race.

And this........why am I watching this on Youtube and not on Speed?

Most handling problems can be solved by adjusting the screw-ball. It can be difficult to fine tune at times. Explaining yourself loudly and striking it on top of the helmet with a dead blow hammer usually works well.

Speed thinks NASCRAP is the "Be All, and End All" of everything.

The more they head in that direction, the more I head in the other.

I'd rather see SPEED in it's current form FOLD then see the garbage they are shoving down our throats. With the programming they have now, they DESERVE to go off and not come back on. Back when it was Speedvision, it was all racing, all forms, all the time. Not taking it for granted because they aren't doing much anymore for racing.

Although I would like to see more dirt late model racing on tv the races they have shown have been pretty boring to watch imo. They need to have different camera angles to show the speed of the cars on a dirt track. Maybe more in car cameras.

It stands to reason that if enough people let them know that they want to watch dirt racing then they would start showing it. So it appears that the demand is not there.

If you don't like what's on there then don't watch it. I generally don't unless it's NASCAR or a dirt race.

                      Miss the Old Days

I for one miss watching Thursday Night Thunder on ESPN. Always looked forward to watching sprints & midgets at the Speedrome & Winchester. I also miss the good shows on TNN. There's nothing but bul*#% on these so called racing/auto channels. Adam C. Come on, Please Gimme a break. Go back to the Man Show with the boys & give the real men something to watch.

At least today there was some off road racing and MotoGP. They have to get back to when the channel first started. Racing and racing related news/programming. Nothing wrong with a bit of mechanical shows for do it yourselfers either.

I remember watching intently as a kid seeing the heroes of USAC, some of which still race to this day, go at it at places like Salem, Winchester, Terre Haute, Eldora, IRP, and various other tracks. Sprints, Midgets, and some Silver Crown racing. It didn't get much better. Same for the WoO Sprint coverage on TNN, as well as the ASA back when it was still quite healthy.
