I am all for each and every person paying their own way. Picking up the tab that is based off the same percentage as everyone else. The problem with this is there aren't enough jobs to go around.

There are more jobs than what you make it sound like. The problem is, too many refuse to start at or take a low paying job and WORK their way up! Too much "that job is beneath me" mentality. How many billionaires have you heard about that started with NOTHING? I say MOST!

Not sure what you are implying here? Are you saying it's somehow unfair that a rich man has a more expensive home? Should a poor man be allowed to deduct more than his house is worth? A rich man less? Why?

You make my argument for me! A tithe, by definition, is 10%. Regardless of how much money you have, 10% of it is 10%. You are trying to contort it to mean the rich should be forced to give more. If you did a little research, you'd find that the majority of "evil rich" people are VERY generous and give away a large portion of their money. But we don't see stories in the news about that, do we? We prefer the "evil rich" hoarding all the wealth.

I have one question. Are you in the 1% and if you aren't, who do you think is going to jump out to let you in?

This is your biggest misconception! NOBODY needs to "jump out", for me to get in. The economy and wealth are NOT zero sum entities. Just because someone is getting wealthier, does NOT mean someone else has to be getting poorer. Liberals would love for everyone to believe this, but it simply is not true.
