Sarcasm. Adults making minimum wage should find a new job.Originally posted by kidrock View PostNo that's not going to do it. Small business can not afford it but, what we do need is good paying jobs for the middle class not minimum wage jobs or 2 or 3 minimum wage jobs.
Raising the min wage raises the price of goods made by businesses that rely on that low wage to produce an affordable product.
So the price of goods and services go up while joe making 8-35/hr sees no wage increase.Last edited by balljoint; 03-09-2013, 08:49 AM.

The potential for a full-blown trade war with China may be heating up. On Monday the Senate supported a bill that would punish countries with undervalued currencies with trade sanctions — i.e. China. (See: Trade Wars? Senate Backs Bill Aimed at China's Currency Manipulation) After China vociferously opposed the Senate's move to bring the bill [...]

Systemax computers aren’t just made by American workers, they’re supported by them too. Systemax features 24/7 tech support, based right here in the United States. We’re sure they’re friendly and helpful, but we have no experience with them, since we’ve never had to call them!
And finally Systemax has a policy never to outsource an American job. They are committed to building and supporting high quality computers in the USA. For us, this is an important reason why we recommend Systemax. Some companies will tout being Made in the USA today, but then outsource tomorrow. We can support Systemax because we believe they will continue to make computers in America.Haters don't really hate you, in fact they hate themselves because you are a reflection of what they wish to be.

So, we can't use a black person in an example or we're "racist", Got it.Originally posted by Bubstr View PostYou picked an interview with a very uneducated black woman and exploited it as the norm for people on welfare, democrats or black. This borders on racism if it isn't.
So, I employ 10 people and don't offer health insurance. Am I one of those "evil rich"?? I can't afford to pay their insurance!! Would you prefer I not employ 10 people at all??Tell that to the people looking in the help wanted pages of the news papers. Even if the local truck farm wanted help, who but an illegal immigrant would pick and top onions for 15 cents a bunch? These few jobs are exactly what this thread is about. Cheap abundant labor. These jobs are exactly the ones that you and I pay for and someone else gets the profit. These jobs do not provide health care, but we pay theirs when our bill at the hospital is exorbitant.
Our government and employers have trained them well. Why would they want to take minimum wage job with out health insurance and loose their minimum standard of living.
Here's your Bible reference on the tithe.
Show me in the Bible that 10% phrasing. Your Pentecostal preacher came up with that one. Actually God told us to pay our taxes. Give un to Cesar, what is Cesar's and give un to God, what is God's
Maybe you could explain this then? You charge for your product or service. The person that buys it will not duplicate that purchase with the existing corporation. Hummmm, Maybe you could cut your employees wages and make your profit from them. Zero sum game, I've heard this one before, if you have a buyer and a seller, it can be nothing but a winner and looser. The amount of wealth is constant. Even if they print money the value changes but the wealth remains constant. The Crony Capitalists don't want you to know that. If that wasn't the case, explain why corporate profits go up and wages go down, or vice versa if the working man was ever that lucky. Wait a minute, that's the answer. Give the workers a huge wage raise and the corporations will never know the difference, because it's not a zero sum game.
Leviticus 27:30–32
30 i“Every tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the trees, is the Lord’s; it is holy to the Lord. 31 If a man wishes to redeem some of his tithe, he shall add a fifth to it. 32 And every tithe of herds and flocks, every tenth animal of all that pass under the herdsman’s staff, shall be holy to the Lord.

I notice you did not pick a Will Smith interview to depict all black people. Your link was slanted and racist and if you can't figure that out, I doubt you will do much better with the rest of this stuff.

If you only employ 10 people you are nothing more than a pawn in the corporate designed economy.
First off I don't think Business has any business being in the insurance business unless their name is Hartford or Blue Cross. That don't mean they shouldn't pay their employees enough to buy their own if they can. Why do you think we are getting affordable Healthcare shoved down our throats?
Quote more, I want to see one that says 10%. I want to see how that 10% is applied to what is Cesar's, (taxes).Originally posted by skids View PostHere's your Bible reference on the tithe.
