I can tell you this if my wife was shot in the head by a nut with a gun I also would be doing everything I could to keep gun's out of the hands of people like the guy that shot her and killed others. I would not be repeating the talking points of those that only want to sell more guns to anyone with the money in hand to buy one.

If someone shot your wife in the head, it would be apparently clear that the police could not protect her. You couldn't protect her. She couldn't protect herself. Did all concerned here do everything in their power to prevent this shooting? The answer is NO. The police are not enforcing the registration laws on the books as we speak. There are laws for criminal back ground checks that have produced almost Zero prosecutions for quite a few years. A lot of them open and closed cases that are simply not prosecuted. You certainly didn't do your job, or you would have had a gun and learned to be efficient with it, knowing the slow response time of the police. You did not arm your wife and make sure she was proficient at it either.
It seems there are more volunteers than victims, yet you wish to volunteer others to the same fate by taking their guns away. I say that, because laws written to remove guns, will only remove them from honest people. Law breakers will continue to break the laws. The police will continue to not enforce the laws and there will be more volunteers for that shot to the head.
Have you noticed that in almost all of these publicized shootings there was one thing in common. They all took place in a gun free zone. With your line af reasoning, we will make many more gun free zones. Brilliant.
Hello everyone,I was wondering what made some of the people do that? There are so many gun abuse incident in many countries. I mean Gun abuse is not a minor issue and that I think the government should take serious action against it.

I agree there is gun abuse. There are also poison pen letter abuse, Homemade bomb abuse Poison gas abuse, Knife abuse, drunk driver abuse, Drug abuse and even bludgeoning abuse. Only solution is to get rid of the abusers. It is futile to try to get rid of all he things they use.
Speaking of poison pen. The article was written by a poison pen..Simply to incite the gullible who would believe that a totally innocent person was jailed because of a gun law. Laughable..

Just what part of that article do you think is not true?
Abuse of the right to own firearms happens all the time. I was on a jury in a case where a young hunter was followed home and home was searched with out permission and over possession limit of ducks was written. They not only confiscated his fire arm, but his fathers. They where sold at public auction and then the kid was acquitted. The County said they didn't have to give the guns back. The court said they did. Some of them guns where antiques and not replaceable. The county got a very expensive lesson, but the gun owner still got the short end of the stick. One of those guns can only be found in a very few museums and none of them are family heirlooms handed down from father to son from well before the civil war.
