No s--t Sherlock your corporate welfare buddies sent those jobs over seas for lower wages and higher profits. What do you want these people to do starve to death.

It was Bill Clinton that signed NAFTA, and he is one of your corporate welfare buddies.

If that statement is factual, can you explain the extraordinarily high unemployment rate today?
I am focused. It looks to me like you are either misinterpreting what I do say or you are trying to twist what I do say. I hope not.

mudslinger47 pay attention, this clip said the reason our economy wasn't good is because we didn't have enough work force. I guess they think you can afford to pay for more of them welfare queens, because Corporate America sure isn't. They are shipping those jobs over seas.

Make no mistake this isn't about lack of work force, it's about cheap abundant labor that will ruin the good jobs left. There are always people out of work that are going to school, some of them on your dime, and sooner or later we have cheap, abundant, educated work force. Are you going to feed your family or upgrade your education for the manager job? Wait how many Manager jobs are there?

Today you are or about to directly compete for jobs with the poorest workers on this planet. Some of them are very educated. Good luck.

Here is a quote from that article. try to understand it this time.

"The truth is America must become more hospitable to June if we want to survive as a free and prosperous country.

The Congressional Budget Office issued a report last fall examining the slow rate of growth in the U.S. economy following the last recession.

It concluded that the single most significant factor now limiting America's potential economic growth is the declining growth of the potential labor force -- which has recently increased at only half the rate it did in the years following World War II.

"That slower growth of potential employment primarily reflects three developments," said CBO. "The most important is that, since about 1980, demographic trends have slowed the growth of the population that is working age and, therefore, the growth of the potential labor force."

"In several earlier recoveries, the baby boomers were entering the labor force; now, they are beginning to retire," said CBO.

"Another important development is an end to the long-standing increase in women's participation in the labor force, which had boosted the growth of the labor force in recoveries before 2000," said CBO.

To put it plainly: The Baby Boom generation did not have enough babies to keep America's economy growing as vigorously as it did in the past, and women today are less inclined to enter the labor force than they were a decade ago."

All you had to say was no, more workforce will not help the economy.

I agree, it started with Bush 1 and Clinton signed the bill. What a huge mistake.

“The moral justification of capitalism does not lie in the altruist claim that it represents the best way to achieve ‘the common good.’ It is true that capitalism does—if that catch-phrase has any meaning—but this is merely a secondary consequence. The moral justification of capitalism lies in the fact that it is the only system consonant with man’s rational nature, that it protects man’s survival qua man, and that its ruling principle is: justice.” — AYN RAND What is Capitalism?Capitalism is a social system based on the principle of individual rights. Politically, it is the system of laissez-faire (freedom). Legally it is a system of objective laws (rule of law as opposed to rule of man). Economically, when such freedom is applied to the sphere of production its’ result is the free-market.
