First off, don't confuse me with a democrat or republican. I do what I can for what's best for me and mine, just as everyone should. You can blame the education problem on unions or government or even democrats or republicans, but the root cause is parents not getting involved, just like they don't get involved in politics. They may pitch the bitch but are complacent when it comes to participation. You will find the same story across the country. The schools that produce smart thinking kids have a lot of parents involved in that result. They don't sit back and let other people control one of the most important aspects of their child's welfare and future.

Bubstr, we can agree. Parents are responsible enough for their childrens education. That is one major problem with education today.

And you can blame Progressives in government for very much of the teaching process, and socialistic changes going on in schools such as Common Core. The parents voted these people into office totally uneducated on what their agendas are. Many children are now taught that this nation was founded unjustly. Pilgrims were slaughterers, Columbus was one of the roots of the evil taking of America, blah blah blah......

Did anyone get your okay to bring Common Core into your school? No? This government is bypassing Congress and doing as many changes as they can, right behind your back. And anyone who tells you what is happening is a 'conspiracy theorist"!

I take it you don't believe in Manifest Destiny. If you was the school board, would you teach the Ostrich theory of enlightenment? Maybe the three monkey theory, hear no CNN see no NSNBC do what ever Rush tells you.

Nice try, but you are not going to categorize me as following specific people's ideals. I can interpret what the left and the right, and everything in between has to say just fine.

Care to join in? It's not too late to wake up. In your little COMMUNE that you live in. lol

That is part of the Manifest destiny doctrine followed by every European country and carried over here in N America with the Indian wars and the annexation of Mexican land among others. It's part of history. Not a pretty part, but a part of history. Same was done in South America by the Spanish and Portuguese. Spain and Portugal divided up the far east by the authority of the Catholic Church.China and Japan didn't agree.
