Hey Kid, did you manage to work things out so you could be at Lincoln for the POWRi show on April 4th?

And, are you going to Terre Haute for the Silver Crown race on the 6th?

Not yet, no one is willing to change weeks with me yet but, still trying to convenience someone to at least take my on call Friday the 4 th or the whole weekend and I will cover the week. I will let you know if I'm going to make it the 4th but, I know I won't be able to make the 6 th.

I think what he is saying is that Terry not walking over and punching sr. In the mouth doesn't make him any less of a man.

In my opinion it shows much more character and moxie for showing some restraint in that situation instead of letting the heat of the moment dictate the scene.

I'm respectful of the bigger than life character that sr. Lived , portrayed, and won with...but I can't remember any time he ever " manned up" to anyone unless it was with his comments , or the bumper of his car.
Where is the move over flag when you need it?????

I didn't "pick" anything. You're the one who said Terry Labonte should "man up" and is a pu$$y. I'd be willing to bet a substantial amount of money that you won't find anyone that has had anything to do with NASCAR racing that would portray Terry Labonte as a pu$$y.

BBQB, thank you for stating the truth about both Terry and ironhead. You took the words right out of my mouth especially the part about ironhead having never been known to "man up".

As far as the "karma/what goes around comes around" thing goes, if you believe in that stuff there is no better example.

I've had a bit of personal dealing with Bob, Justin and Bobby with the dirt track affiliation but have never actually been around Terry.

Knowing the other guys in the family , I wouldn't imagine that Terry would have any problem whatsoever manning up if the opportunity warranted and or presented itself......back then or today.

when u started this thread u said that u hoped terry lebonte would make the
hall fo fame then u put $hit in ur mouth about karma and someone deserved
to die. Alot of cages get rattled . And if nascar was now as it was then
i would watch it untill the end. But as it is i watch the first few laps and
the green white checker. So now i like millions watch jr. Ur just a earnhardt
hater. Anyone that thinks karma in racing u get what u deserve for someone
thats dies . Well we dont need ur kind around our track. And for karma / i
hope ur past that karma reaches out to u.

For the life of me I see nowhere where CIRF said anything about someone deserving to die.

Nowhere is it said anyone deserves to die, I know I don't have $hit in my mouth and the only thing that involves NASCAR that I hate/hated was the favoritism shown to some by NASCAR for a select few, and we know who that is/was.

I didn't bring up the Bristol incident, pipeliner did. As far as the karma thing, if you do or don't believe in the cliche' "what goes around comes around" which I've heard that cliche' 1000 times in reference to bad things happening on the race track, then maybe karma is up for discussion. If you don't, then there is no discussion needed.

If you don't need my kind around your track I understand and I'll definitely keep it that way. And, I'm definitely past "that karma that reaches out to me". LOL!! Really sorry to have upset you and retired racer, I truly didn't mean to upset you, I only meant to "rattle your cages". LOL!!

Finally, I doubt very much that ironhead was scared of Terry Labonte, I'd doubt even more that Terry Labonte was scared of ironhead,

I agree CIRF, Sometimes things have a way of catching up to us all. You like myself don't wear them rose colored glasses.

Sorry Kid, you posted while I was still writin'. Didn't mean to repeat what you said.

I hope it works out for you to go on the 4th, and definitely let me know if you can make it.

I think we're going to do the Lincoln POWRi show on Friday night, the Putnamville, Indiana MSCS non-wing show ($4000 to win) on Saturday night then after that's over come back to Terre Haute and spend Saturday night and go to the USAC Silver Crown race at The Action Track in Terre Haute on Sunday night. Things will start getting pretty busy for me as the weather gets better so I'm hoping to get to some races in the meantime.

Let's hope the weather holds and is warm that weekend. The Illini 100 is at Farmer City on that weekend and I know of a bunch of guys coming a long way for that in addition to the three open wheel shows I mentioned above.

BBQB, I only met Terry and Bobby once apiece and spent limited time around them but you could sense a certain quiet confidence about both that indicated they weren't averse to doing what really needs to be done. I've also heard that their Dad was definitely no one to get on the bad side of.

Two of the classiest and most dignified drivers in the history of NASCAR. I'd put them in a category with Mark Martin and The King.

well when u state that it would be nice if terry would be in the hall of fame . if only that would have been said and that hes a class act , would have all that needed to be said. i hope terry makes the hall of fame. there are a lot who deserve
to be. cirf seperated his self when he said that karma was deserved by what comes around goes around. and i can read between the lines i know u can to. where did the reason for the mention of Earnhardt and karma have to encluded
and in that context. i am a Earnhardt fan as so are millions. but i wont throw karma in as to deserve what happen.
we race and have for more than 50 years and be wrecked crashed bump rubbed of the track. but we will never hope
that karma might do what happen here for what goes around comes around. we all have a past where karma might get us. but i dont hope for no ill on no one. hall of fame for terry i ho[pe so . but for jealous one and Earnhardt haters
terry was average compared to Earnhardt. racing is tough. and like the saying goes . if u cant race with the big dogs
                                stay on the porch
