I still refer to it as Winston Cup! Never liked the term Sprint Cup, even though they paid BIG money for the naming rights!

It was stated just this morning that no charges have been filed. Watched her on Diane Sawyer, crying crocodile tears and grinning the next instance. Eyes dry as the desert. If he indeed hit her, nail his a$$, but until he has been brought into court for domestic violence charges, he's as innocent as you or me. The judge should have never made his opinion public on something that at the moment is nothing more than hearsay. A clergyman talked to her within less than an hour after so called having her hear smashed into the wall three times and stated there were absolutely no marks anywhere. I'm not a Kurt fan at all, but I sure wouldn't like the same thing happen to me when I never was proven guilty of battery.

Pig, I completely understand what you're saying but in this instance perception is reality, especially in regards to Chevrolet cutting ties with Busch. Chevrolet will not risk being any way associated with even an alleged domestic abuser and since Chevrolet is responsible for the influx of very large amounts of money and technology into big time racing they're actions are going to be proactive as opposed to reactive.

Speculation is that Chevrolet applied a fair amount of leverage pressure onto NASCAR to the degree that NASCAR didn't have any choice but to suspend Busch.

And once again, if not for Busch's past of embarrassing himself, NASCAR and racing in general the pressure may not have been nearly as great. For that, Busch has no one but himself to to blame.

I will be surprised if Busch ever drives a NASCAR racecar again. I'm not even sure if Indy Car would take a chance on him, either. However, time will tell better than my outsider hunch's.

I wasn't aware of the fact that Government Motors had applied pressure to get Busch fired (for lack of a better term) that's just one more reason for me not to buy anything GM again........

No, I actually own it! For the first time in my life, I have NO car payments. Yep, believe it or not, my GMC has outlasted the payments! Thank God, I don't want those $650 monthly payments anymore!

Actually, im starting to get depressed. There is no super late model racing in my future until next Speedweeks. The closest track is about 6 hrs away. You Midwesterners are spoiled with all that good racin nearby!
