As far as the nation of Israel, the Bible is very clear! God says, "I will bless those that bless you, and curse those that curse you". This is one of the many scary ideas why Obama is not to be trusted. He is never fully in their corner and is always resisting their policies.

That is what the Bible it says. In Israel Obama has about a 3% positive rating. Yet in America more than 50% of Jews flocked to the poles to vote for him. Go figure.

Going back and re reading this thread just confirms to me that everybody that wants to go, better be right with the big man........

I am certainly going to do my part to be informed,prepared and protect my family , my country and my fellow human being......but refuse to be paralyzed by fear, paranoia and hyperbole while I'm here on this earth.

Exactly. This idea that the title "President of the USA" is in some way going to shock and awe other nations into prostrating themselves before us is ridiculous. I think some people have this unrealistic view of the power of the Presidency.

It's funny how some folks lay this accusation on Obama that all he does is blame Bush, yet at every opportunity they blame Obama.

As far as the rest of it, the Bible tells us that when you tell people the truth, they are not going to like hearing it. And it tells us to seek wise counsel, and not listen to the rantings and ravings of snake oil salesman. Or Politicians or presidents.

I don't think Obama is the antichrist, but I disagree with much of what he stands for. Gay marriage and abortion for a start. But just because i disagree with him on those issues doesn't mean I am going to hate him daily and go off on wild tangents, ranting and raving against everything he does. Some of what he does actually seems more in keeping with the Gospel of Christ, forgiveness, compassion and loving your neighbor as yourself than many self proclaimed Christians constantly telling us all what they hate.

Like I said in other posts, if you are looking to Cable TV news, or anchorman, or spin doctors, or anything at all on the airwaves in this nation to be your "wise counsel" you are most definitely looking to the wrong folks to be informing you.

None of them are going to tell you anything but whatever they think you will pay money to listen to, or that they can make money from. This is why some people are so pumped up and ready to go all the time, because all of the media selling malice and division.

You see how quickly this turned into a "let's bash t.nie" and call him names thread again. Not disagreeing with anyone, just saying if you are getting your theories from someone getting paid to tell you stories you want to hear, it's no surprise your thinking is heavily influenced by that person and what you think might happen is based on what that person is telling you.

Yes, my church says seek truth and don't be afraid to speak it. There was nothing that was not truthful in what I stated above.

You choose to believe in this EMP attack theory and all the rest of it. The Bible tells us not to be taken in by people selling wild ideas and conspiracy theories.

I saw the "Football Life" on Terrell Owens and this reporter says "well, T.O. had problems with people in SF, and maybe it was those folks in SF that were the problem, then he had problems in Philadelphia and you know, it could have been those other people there too, but then he had problems in Dallas, and you know, it could have been those people causing the problem but... in my world, when you have problems EVERYWHERE you go with people, maybe the problem isn't everyone else... maybe it's you."

I think some people just like thinking they are "in the know" or have some kind of special information or viewpoint that the majority just don't see and that makes them feel like they are smarter than everyone else. And then they just get great satisfaction running around letting everyone else know how "uninformed and gullible" they are because they don't get it.

If you are going to rip the guy off, at least post a link to his website, Terry. And you do realize the author also has ties to companies that would profit handsomely off technology to defend against such an attack?

Additionally, in his opening he lays the bait to suck folks right in with all the eerie, ominous *adopts low, echoing, sinister voice* "is this the gravest threat to bunnies, kittens and your innocent child since the dropping of an atomic bomb on Hiroshima?" (of course, this has to be stated over a graphic of a playground with bunnies and children playing on swings with a huge nuclear detonation erupting overhead in the back ground, then children screaming and being skeletalized as the detonation engulfs them) then proceeds to lay out multiple unrelated factoids that don't really answer any of the questions he poses but do lead you to your own conclusion that "Why yes, Dr. Moneymaker, an EMP that your chosen line of work would profit handsomely from defending our nation from is EXACTLY the GRAVEST and MOST LIKELY threat to our nation, (bunnies and children included)..."

I do think you have the right to believe whatever you want to believe, Terry. It's your life, time, money and right to believe whatever you want. But as for me and my house, we shall continue to serve the Lord. And that includes being ever vigilant and scrutinizing every claim that comes along trying to scare us or persuade us to believe things.

I am all about truth. And when someone starts telling stories, I seek the truth behind the story, and what motivates them to be selling me this story. And its always people trying to make money with these stories that I seem to find.

And we all know, the love of money is the root of all evil. Which is why I don't put any faith in anyone in the media to be my trusted council. They all love money, and will sell folks anything. Just like our politicians these days.

T nie I hear what you are saying. But as a Christian there is no way you can support Obama and what he represents. I do not care for politicians, but I would like to see one that has some decent values. Obama is an elite, know it all. That is as kind as I can say it. HE also hated Jews and just got done trashing Christians as fear mongers who are against him. Yet he declares himself to be a Christian. HE possesses nothing that could pass for Christianity and I won't even include the REV WRIGHT. I am not afraid of anything that will happen in the world, scripture already spells it out. But it is my responsibility to defend the Bible and the faith. This includes murdering unborn Children, turning your back on Jews or supporting Sodomy. As a Christian, you should know that you are responsible for whom you cast your lot.

I am absolutely certain you had no idea where that EMP piece you posted came from, no idea on the origin, but you are certain it's true because it fits into your preconceived idea that the world is a dangerous dangerous place and OBAMA is to blame for not taking action.

It was just another way to smear Obama. Nothing more.

I don't agree with all Obama has said and done either. Particularly on abortion and same sex marriage. But I am not going to look at him and say every last thing he has ever done is wrong or evil.

My preacher actually said on Sunday morning during his sermon that while he doesn't agree with what our elected leaders say and do, he would not call any of them evil. Just didn't agree with what they believed.

Of course, in the flame throwing, grenade lobbing world of our modern day media, he would probably be run out of town for being a reasonable human being looking at things with a level head.

Will you clarify something here please? How is Ishmael considered a 'bastard' when Sarai gave Hagar to Abraham as a wife?
