Kyle Busch Is Right Where We Want Him To Be

I am OK with whatever they do. I have no vested interest in any of it anymore and its been a joke for a very long time. NASCAR is dying a slow painful death and it is all self inflected. I use to find it funny but now I just find it very sad. But the fact stands that Kyle deserves to have a chance to win the championship based on the current rules.

I agree with everything in this post, fart. LOL!

Except for 1 word.

As the rules are stated, interpreted and enforced pee wee has the right, according to the rules as of today November 19th, 2015, to be in position to win the championship. Unfortunately, the fact remains that he doesn't truly DESERVE to be in that position. Absurd covers the pee wee situation to a tee.

There is no way that you could know that...different circumstances dictate different actions on the track.... RP didn't need those two wins to win the Cup..... analogies between the past and the present can not ever work because there are so many differences...

The 1967 NASCAR Grand National Season consisted of 48 races. There were 12 different winners that season. That kinda' blows the argument that only 4 or 5 guys drove cars capable of winning races. A bogus argument from it's very beginning.

The points paying races included the twin 100 mile qualifying races for the Daytona 500 so that gets it down to 46 races if you're comparing it to the Cup Schedule since 1972. That is just 10 more than this season. Not a tremendous difference in events.

Lee Roy Yarbrough
Cale Yarborough
Mario Andretti
Darel Dieringer
David Pearson

I can't find information on how many drivers ran a full Grand National schedule in '67 but it's a safe bet if you didn't run them all you were NOT going to be able to win the championship, and you dam sure couldn't have had a chance in he!! to win it if you didn't compete in 11 races!!

Richard won almost as many races in a row in 1967 as pee wee jr. missed this year. LOL!

Who's Richard Petty you ask? He's won almost twice as many races as anyone has ever won in NASCAR Cup/Grand National competition. He's won more championships that anyone and is universally considered one of the 2 or 3 best drivers to ever drive a NASCAR stock car. He's also a prime example of class and dignity and has given his whole life, to stock car racing. That's who Richard Petty is.

And if you re-read your statement, you'll see just how "GOOD" Kyle is... its a shame your blind to your own writings...

No doubt that he is good. But hey, we could also say if he was that good he could've avoided that wall at Daytona. My deal is just merely that every race should count the same and the only way to truly do that is to tally up points over the entire year. Either way, history is ruined. NASCAR will never be on the level it was 10 years ago. Just pray that Jr. doesn't retire as early as Gordon or you won't be able to even buy a race on pay per view

It's a much bigger shame that you don't grasp the concept of irony. It's much more a testament as to how great The King, Dale Inman and Maurice Petty actually were along with your sorely lacking ability to comprehend simple ironies.

Tell us all once again just how "good" pee wee jr. really is.

He's been racing in NASCAR Cup competition for 10 years and hasn't even come close to winning a championship (even with the gimmicks) despite driving for 2 of the best funded, best staffed, best sponsored and most successful teams in NASCAR. Especially Hendrick Motor Sports. If he lucks out enough to win this year it is undeniably tainted, illegitimate and will forever be asterisk ridden. Probably not by NASCAR or gimmick lovers but by fair minded people who understand that a true champion competes in all the events, regardless of the circumstances.

Despite all that I'm still pee wee's biggest fan, at least for this weekends' race! LOL!

Plus, he got the $hit slapped out of him by a 60 something Richard Childress! Hehehehe!
And he ran like a frightened school girl from harvick at Darlington. FROM HARVICK! Even Montoya had no trouble backing down Harvick and pee wee jr. ran and hid.
