No, if that's vicious to you, then you probably should have read what the Wood Brothers said about themselves...that was vicious...Originally posted by CIRF View PostHmmm. Had the Wood Brothers been more successful they wouldn't have had problems getting sponsors? That's pretty vicious, isn't it?.
And again I ask, if you don't watch, then what do you have to complain about?

If the wood brothers could have expanded to a multi car team they would have been better. That would have given them more data to go off but, they would have had to do that when the other big boys done it.

I've was a NASCAR fan from '58 until this Chase cr*p came along... actually the COT deal was such a joke that I lost most interest back then.
I have a couple buddies who worked for Rousch and Hendrick for years... the stories they tell about the corporate greed that has taken over since Baby France has been in charge will make your head spin.

I hope Ryan Blaney does some major kick ass this year him and ChaseOriginally posted by drano View PostI have been around nascar since about 1970 actually helped on a few teams back in the day and from my opinion what is going on today is just a shell of what it used to be not to let the Wood brothers in this so called charter is a disgrace If you like the new compared to the old then have at it but I sure don't.

According to the younger of the Wood Brothers, they were unable to secure the where with all to run at the level they needed to run so as to give proper acknowledgement to their sponsors... They didn't want to become a start and park, and for them to continue at that point in time, that's what they would have had to do... it was more economics as far as I can see... They chose the tracks that they generally excelled at and ran those and skipped the ones that they had issues with...Originally posted by kidrock View PostIf the wood brothers could have expanded to a multi car team they would have been better. For whatever reason you don't like the Wood Brothers and are happy and joyful to attempt to diminish their accomplishments over the years. Is it because they've had great drivers with manners, class and dignity over the years?Originally posted by mudslinger47 View PostNo, if that's vicious to you, then you probably should have read what the Wood Brothers said about themselves...that was vicious...

Let's see, Chris Williams - Glen Wood - Banjo Matthews - Bob Welborn - Junior Johnson - Fred Harb - Fred Lorenzen - Earl Balmer - Bobby Rahal - Jim Massey - Dave MacDonald - Tommy Ellis - Speedy Thompson - Parnelli Jones - Curtis Turner - Tiny Lund - Dan Gurney - Donnie Allison - Marvin Panch - A. J. Foyt - Buddy Baker - Cale Yarborough - Dale Jarrett - Neil Bonnett - David Pearson - Kyle Petty - Morgan Shepherd - Elliott Sadler - Ricky Rudd - Ken Schrader - Jon Wood - Boris Said - Marcos Ambrose - David Gilliland - Bill Elliott - Trevor Bayne - Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. - Ryan Blaney all have driven for the Wood Brothers at one time or another. Pretty impressive and classy list of wheel men, wouldn't you say?
I don't see any in that list that have ever tarnished the sport or the Wood Brother themselves like your boy pee wee has in just the few short years he's been around.
Any denigration of the Wood Brothers NASCAR exploits is unwarranted and should be considered vicious! LOL!

The Wood brothesr was one of the best team ever in Nascar. When you mention car number 21 in Nascar everybody young and old knows who you are talking about.Originally posted by CIRF View PostFor whatever reason you don't like the Wood Brothers and are happy and joyful to attempt to diminish their accomplishments over the years.
