No issue to be taken by me on that deal. I have never thought Hendrick should have been pardoned. The pardon was a last minute clinton move that was probably bought and paid for by Hendrick. IIRC clinton supposedly pardoned Hendrick due to the fact that he was diagnosed and was being treated for leukemia. Never did hear how much Hendrick ended up having to pay out in damages from law suits filed by Honda dealers across the country but hopefully is was a bunch.

I will only say this in regards to Hendrick's racing operation. But for one glaring exception (pee wee jr.) HMS has, and continues to employ some of the most decent people to drive his cars. Geoff Bodine was a little rough around the edges and Tim Richmond liked a bit too much variety in his women and sadly he paid for it with his life. But for the most part he's had very good people driving his cars.

Character, manners, class and dignity are all virtues to be admired, especially these days!

yeah but it's made it interesting the last couple of years. At least now it's coming down to the last day with 4 guys with a chance to win it but, you wouldn't know because you don't watch it. How was the race Sunday?

I guess I will never understand the overrated championships. Has nothing to do the racing on the track. Oh wait yes it does because sometimes they only race for points. F--k that I want to see them racing every lap not just points racing.

Hmm, disagree. Harvick is every bit the driver Labonte was. Do not let your personal feelings cloud your judgement. LOL
What you think of him as a person, has nothing to do with how good he is.

Harvick could drive rings around either Labonte, just the way it is... Harvick is, however a bit of a jerk to his crew, BUT, its only because he wants them to perform up to the Gibb's standard... now really to much to ask.... personally, I don't care for Harvick, but he is a heck of a driver... any driver would be pissed if their crew lost them roughly 15 positions on pit road...

You know I can see a driver getting upset over his crew losing him positions on the track but you never see the crew yelling at the driver for making mistakes about making bone head moves on the track.

Harvick is, however a bit of a jerk to his crew, BUT, its only because he wants them to perform up to the Gibb's standard... now really to much to ask.... personally, I don't care for Harvick, but he is a heck of a driver... any driver would be pissed if their crew lost them roughly 15 positions on pit road...

Then he does an interview in the garage area and says he's gonna' kick Montoya's ass. Well mr. forehead, you just had your chance and you flatly declined to throw down. Tough guy? Only when he has his crew/defenders nearby! LOL.

Montoya didn't have to throw a punch to whip ol' tough guy Harvick into submission. Body language told the whole story of that deal. And the story was Harvick didn't want anything to do with Montoya when he had the chance. Then he does his gasbag routine in the garage area about how he is going to kick Montoya's ass. He just had his chance but thought better of it.

Steve Kinser didn't win driving a Cup car but he's still considered one of the best race car drivers of all time.

I had completely forgotten about Martin's '09 near championship run in the #5 car. 4 of Mark Martins 5 wins driving the #5 car came in '09. Terry had the most wins in the Hendrick #5 with 12 and Geoff Bodine was second with 7 victories. Casey Kahne has 5 wins in the #5 and Busch had 4.

We were really pulling for Martin to win the '09 championship, especially after he'd got screwed out of the championship by NASCAR and arnhead back in 1990.

Martins great season in '09 was overshadowed by all the hype surrounding Jimmie Johnson winning his 4th consecutive Cup Championship, something that had never been done before in the history of NASCAR Grand National/Cup competition.

But the sources and reports are bogus according to #4-Kevin Harvick. Harvick took to Twitter Tuesday to refute another report that he would be moving to Hendrick Motorsports in 2017.
