I seen Victor Lee do it twice in one race, He started in the rear and made it all the way up front, Stopped on the track and went to the rear and then made it all the way back to the front to win the race! They had 24 cars in the race, I think it was the Bluegrass series, But it was at the TAZ!!

Maybe i am different but i don't see the satisafaction in being given an invert and saying man i held them off for 3-5 laps and then falling into place where i belong. I would take much more pride in saying i start 5 spots back or 5 rows back and catching the leader. Didn't say i passed them but i ran them down. Kudos to the little guy or the local who has the nuts to give Lucas a shot when they come to town. How else do measure yourself unless you go at it with the best. It makes the sport better as a whole. jmo

And I follow one of them, that's how interesting they are to me. Finner hasn't raced his way into one race all year, but you want to talk about handouts. Provisionals are handouts if you don't know. That means any one person that had the funds to field a car for one full season could agree to run for rookie of the year and make every show. That's not being at the top of your sport IMO.

You want to talk about no handouts. AMA Mx/Sx and nhra don't give any handouts....none whatsoever. If your not fast or skilled enough to make their shows, regardless of where you are in points, you don't make their main event. Plain and simple. I've seen point leaders miss main events at a few sx races just because he wasn't good enough.

May be some things you want to check.your facts before you go posting about them

Like i said may not be your cup of tea, so you only follow one. I have been to numerous indy sx and i know the format, just like going to the us nationals. Different beast thats why i didn't mention them. Provisionals are a benefit for loyalty. Ain't like they are given a free pass ahead and given an invert. They start on the tail. Didn't say it was right, but it is what it is.

It's a free pass when the same guy can't ever race his way in. He shouldn't be able to keep starting the races every week if he isn't progressing any. He's goes to tracks knowing he don't have to do well to make the show, while other guys go in there knowing they have to do well to even have a chance at making it, that's not being at the top of your sport as you said earlier. Those are all facts.

If I was in his shoes, I would've done dropped off months ago. I couldn't take getting looked at like that, and I know I'm not the only that notices it, cuz it's been a talk between a few crew members that I've gotten to know as well.

The series races are well attended. When everyone has access to pretty much the same sh!t, and there's so much parody, very tough to come from the back. I can't think of anyone recently that has at a big race.

And if you'd like to pay the bills for someone who does his homework and is fast, but you wanna start him in the back, they may go for it. Though I doubt it.
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.

Unless it has changed, since when didn't WoO sprints run pretty much heads up, or the All Stars. Not positive on USAC's format.

So if I work my a$$ off, and do my homework, my reward is to start in the back because I'm too fast and we gotta let someone else have a chance? A small invert I'm all for, but a whole field invert these days is insane. When everyone is so equal.

Reason they b!tch about that stuff is because they work their a$$ off to be fast, and be at the front, not to be penalized for it.

Lucas Oil series brings lot's of car's to their shows I can't say that for the WOO because the shows I've attended have barely drawn 25 car's

Exactly, its a free pass and if your hard work in the shop wasn't good enough to get you into a show then why should the guy that did work hard in shop not get the spot.
