“According to WRG officials, Madden competed in the Sept. 22-24 WoO events in Kansas and Oklahoma under a “deferral†while his tire’s laboratory analysis results were being examined. He recorded two fourth-place finishes and an eighth to remain second in the WoO points standings and would apparently come off of his WRG suspension in time to enter the next WoO events on Oct. 13-14 at Dirt Oval Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Ill.†This is complete BS and just goes to show just how much corruption and blatant home cooking goes on in these national series and in particular WoO. If you are one of “their boysâ€, the rules get bent for you, period! How does this keep happening? This guy has gotten caught with illegal tires more than anyone else in racing over the last decade. The suspension time frame listed in the penalty report is Sept. 10 – Oct. 10. Yet, WoO knowingly allowed Madden to continue competing in the WoO events between Sept. 10 and now under a “deferral†while the results were being contested. Now that the results have been confirmed and the suspension is upheld, how can you let him keep the points earned under the deferral and maintain the original suspension period as though the results were never contested and there were no “deferralâ€? This is awful, disgusting, deceitful, back room home cooking. The point of a “deferral†is to protect someone if they are cleared of wrongdoing and the decision is reversed. This serves to prevent them from undue penalties incurred erroneously. In short, if the penalty were overturned, and he was vindicated, then he would not have been falsely penalized with the loss of the “privilege†of continuing to compete towards the series championship. However, since the penalty was upheld, one of two things should happen (neither of which did). 1. If they decided to make the suspension dates retroactive back to the time when the infraction occurred, (Sept. 10 going through Oct. 10), all points and earnings accumulated in this “deferral period†should be immediately stripped and no additional points or earnings would be allowed until the end of the suspension on Oct. 10. 2. If they decided to make the suspension proactive and begin it yesterday when the issue was finalized, he sould get to keep the points and earnings between Sept. 10 and yesterday, but he sould immediately begin a full 30-day suspension that would run from Sept. 28 through Oct. 28, and would thus be ineligible to compete in the Oct 13-14 WoO events. But, what happened here was a conspiracy that allowed him to basically get out of it with little more than a small amount of bad PR and a monetary slap on the wrist. This should have effectively ended any chance that Madden had of finishing higher than 10th in WoO points. But instead he will suffer no loss at all in that regard. This year in WoO there are 10 drivers that have competed in all 10 races. That means that Madden would most likely end up falling from his current position of 2nd down to 10th in the end of season standings. But, instead, he will suffer essential no loss at all in that regard. In WoO, the season point chase end of year payout is as follows:1. $100,0002. $60,0003. $40,0004. $35,5005. $40.0006. $24,0007. $23,0008. $22,0009. $21,00010. $20,000 How is this not a slap in the face of any competitor behind him in points? This is effectively stealing from them. Madden’s end of year point bonus should decrease from $60K to around $20K in addition to loss of purse money for the races that he should not be allowed to compete at. This would basically move the next highest driver up a position. So, the person who ends up finishing 3rd would have had basically an amount of at least $20K plus lost race earnings to Madden in the suspension races stolen from them and so on down the line. How does this happen? Continuously? If I had to guess there were some closed-door meetings between WoO and Madden and some agreements were made which would minimize damage and benefit Madden and WoO somehow down the road. I have no proof of this, of course, and this is just my opinion, but I would say that it is pretty likely given what is fact to this point. The bigger point is this; How can any weekly or regional racer who comes out to run with WoO, on good faith, even begin to think that they are getting an opportunity to compete on equal footing with the touring drivers knowing this kind of biased home cooking and corruption exists? If this had not been one of their “big names†who is sponsored by some of their affiliated sponsors, this would not have went down this way at all. I am one of those weekly racers who has competed at WoO local events in the past. I assumed, at the very least, that I was on equal footing with them according to the tire rules. I guess I am a dreamer in that regard. I promise you though that I will never again spend a dollar of my money to enter another WoO race myself, now will a pay to attend as a fan. I am so tired of this crap! In a way, I have no one to blame except myself for being so blind to what is going on since it has continued to happen repeatedly in these national series time after time. I guess I need to wake up and accept reality that you can no longer expect fair and honest treatment anywhere. Also, before anyone says anything, yes, I posted this in a new account to conceal my real identity, because I fully expect to be kicked off of this forum after posting this. But Im just so tired of this and I don’t even know who to complain to anymore. Very, very sad day for this sport that we all love to say the least.

No paragraphs so I didn't read your entire post but I am confused on Madden's suspension, and why it seems different than other driver suspensions.Last edited by Pennsboro23; 09-29-2017, 01:49 PM.

Regardless of the lastest tire gate development. Anyone know if he is or was planning to run WoO tour again next year?

Both Satterlee and Bloomer ran the Firecracker just a couple weeks after the Dream when they were caught. Bloomer won. They were allowed to run WoO events until the appeals were heard. Madden getting the same courtesy isn't weird at all.Originally posted by MasterSbilt_Racer View PostIts the same company. The 5 from before couldn't run WoO events.

Sorry, I wrote my post with correct spacing and paragraphs. When I submitted it they all went away and it crammed everything together. I tried to edit it and it did the same thing again.Originally posted by Pennsboro23 View PostNo paragraphs so I didn't read your entire post but I am confused on Madden's suspension, and why it seems different than other driver suspensions.

Maybe from here on out all the racers racing against him should chip in and protest his tires at every single event. That is if protests are still allowed in World of Outlaws.

The violation he had at deer creek was not a tire deal. Him and Devin Moran were both placed on probation for remainder of 2017 due to them getting into a on and off track altercation. Unless I missed the whole tire deal from, which is possible.
I wondered if that would have any effect on this too, then I seen "technical in nature" in the release they made. So i guess it's alright to be put on probation for bad behavior, then be put on probation again for juicing tires. I'm sure a lot of felons out there would want to be put on probation for 2 different things and not be thrown back in the slammer for it.
