I for one have learned not to like Rusty because of all the people on here blowing it up if he wins a race, lord this place will be awful if he wins on the WoO tour but I am not bashing him and I hope he is successful for what he is doing. I am sure he is great guy and he is a good wheelman from what I have seen just wish his fans wouldn't get in a huge hype over winning local races. Now if he goes out and wins a few on the WoO tour those fans every right to blow this place up because that will be a big accomplishment. Wish him the best of luck and I hope every driver committed to both tours stays on the entire year.

He has a car himself. There was also the CJ1 last year. He was building a new car at the end of the season. So, potentially, that could be 3 cars. That's all I know.

He has more then 1 car. His car owner also purchased a toter home and I believe a stacker trailer. Knowing Rusty he wouldn't be doing this if he didn't think he could. Things have aligned for him to try it. like him or not why bash him cause hes gonna try it? If he runs the entire tour or falls off. Congrats on trying it. He wont be the first person to fall off a tour if hes running like crap. It happens every year.

Jason is correct. Things are coming together for Rusty. He has a few solid backers that have took notice. True, he was once the "little, under funded guy" that raced against much bigger budgets ad had success. He is not making that claim anymore. He is a guy that has put everything into his race program and it is paying off with opportunity. Rusty and his guys are not afraid to work. The work ethic on that team is incredible. Yes he has passed big shows for smaller ones. Most of those times it was because the big LUCAS or WoO show did not carry UMP points. Rusty has used that UMP point check to get him through the winter for years now. Its what you do when racing is all you do. He doesn't have a 9-5 with insurance to fallback on. Him and his wife have a small ice cream shop in a 1 horse town... But that's how he does it, & they make it work... Now the opportunity has come along where Rusty gets to line up with some of the best in the business on a weekly basis. He is taking the chance. Which many on here say he "wont race the big dogs"... Well, that's what he is going to do. The whole world gets to see how he does. If he was truly dodging the competition like many have claimed. Then wouldn't he convince his supporters to set him up with this good equipment, so he could bounce around the Midwest and grab cardboard checks. That's what Pierce, Unzicker, Feger, Babb, K Rob, Weaver & many others have had to do in the past. Hell, Moyer made a decent living doing the same thing. Rusty has used that formula to get him where he is today. Now he has had some people come on board to help him make the next step. Lets wait and see what happens. No matter what the results. Team Schlenk has done it by working up the ladder. No rich daddy, no sugar daddy, No family friend that has a large company... It will be cool to see if a guy can still make it in a DLM buy working hard and not loading up a $500,000 truck with the best equipment and the latest gadgets and technology. Team Schlenk, Bork, CJ1 will have good stuff, good support, and a great work ethic. Im interested to see how him & Fergy do. They are both from similar backgrounds in the way they have got to where they are...'
