The Gateway booboo was small compared to other bonehead moves Crusty has accomplished the one I really was pleased with is think it was Friday night at Eldora for the big race he went out for OPTIONAL hot laps and the 2md lap jumped the cushion and crushed the wall yet again now that was frickin cool and very smart stuff especially for a guy that's going to run the WOO tour SMDH He will be back at Oakshade with his popup checkered flag tent selling 12 dollar T shirts

Funny. CJ has been at this longer than any of the keyboard trolls that think they understand the current rear suspension of a SLM. If anybody thinks CJ has forgotten how to build a car. You must be a redneck. I think he had as much to do with this as anybody. Going on the outlaw tour. Remember Rayburn cars were the car to have. I think this goes to him (CJ) making a statement. It will be interesting to see how all this works out. Everyone knew they started 2017 with a swing arm. Throughout the year CJ kept developing the 4 link and they ended the year that way. Will be watching for good things out of rayburn's shop for 2018.

I think the same thing. CJ has probably forgotten more then most of us will ever know about dirt racing. The man is still building decent cars at his age and time spent in the sport. You can bet he has friends in high places and likely has had some of them in the shop figuring things out. The mans no dummy. I'd bet this was his idea from the beginning to try and run the Outlaw tour with a decent driver. My own personal opinion is you put Rusty in TOP equipment and you might see how good he can be. I think Rusty races with in his finances and money. Why go to a show if there is a less chance of making it and go where he can contend for a win and pick up a lot of UMP National points. It's kind of the same path Dennis Erb Jr. took in the sense it took him a while to get to where he's at. How many of you remember Erb trying to following the Hav-A-Tampa series with a van. Dennis had a little bit of help getting there; same as Rusty and does very good with what he's got. Don't hate many couldn't do what they did and with in the means they did it.

Call CJ and ask him if you should run a 4 link. Lol.

I never said he was a fan of 4 link set ups. I don't see what the issue is with him running what set up he wants to. Or is it the rules makers that don't want to see a team come up with something new. Don't forget a very simple device called a Rumley device was banned before teams started getting there hands on them. Everyone wants to keep costs down. A simple 4-link is just that. Simple. Who would have thought what a shock on the LR has led too. Air, location, double shocks. I say go back to leafs and shocks behind the axle at 22.5 degree angle. Mounted at the center line of the axle.

Past him by ? Come on, he has forgot more than most of these NEW builders have done. I believe he is doing this to make a statement. He sure as heck doesn't want to get into building a lot of cars. How old is CJ ? You need to remember, he and Bullitt were the cars to have.

Rayburns haven’t been relevant in a decade, and when they fell off, he refused to change in an industry that changes by the week. The sport definitely passed him by, and he realized it so he finally changed some things. If you can’t realize that, then the sport passed you by too.

If CJ was serious he would have put a driver in his car that doesn't tear up equipment and can run 3 laps the same if needed CJ does not have that its fact seen this guy the first time on the track at Butler motor speedway in Michigan I'm not just running off the mouth here I know racing and I have seen Rusty race as much probably more than anyone WRONG GUY IN THIS CAR

My point was you are giving CJ credit for 4 link development in the year 2017. That couldn't be farther from the truth.
