Gonna be tough for guys like Fergy, Schlenk, Marlar Overton, and any others that did not run the series last year. Better not have any bad luck.

I highly doubt Overton and Marlar have any trouble making races. They both have plenty of national touring experience and have beaten the touring regulars on multiple occasions.

I wouldn't worry about Overton. The guy won races in like 7 different series.

I tend to agree with this. I can see why a series gives provisionals, but the race fan in me likes the idea of racing in or going home.

Another example of $$$ taking over the sport that is often over looked IMO. One reason why you would never really want only one national tour... 20 plus guys showing up and only leaving a few spots for the regional/local racer. That's why eldora is so exciting race ur way in or load up. The truck race there could be huge if they didn't lock points guys in.

Yeah some many local driver get in the dream and world 100. Not the same top 20 national drivers and the top regional drivers get in. Please it's the same thing but more top regional drivers around the country show up. I guess you can call Jon Henry the small local guy that made the show. One nation tour with 20 drivers would be eldora dream and world 100 driver result.

So what? The teams that travel all over the country to support a series deserve to have some provisional.

I'm all for provisionals. I'm hoping to make a couple 3+ hour trips to see Lucas and WoO races this year. I don't want Bloomquist and Davenport or Sheppard and Marlar to wreck out in a heat and be done for the night. I want to see the best of the best in the long features, I can watch the local/regional guy every weekend. And besides, if you travel all over the country to race a tour, you deserve a guaranteed spot in the field. Would you want to drive 12 hours in every possible direction every weekend and not be guaranteed to run more than 20 laps a night?
