Any interest in a money fantasy league?

I've been tossing around the idea of possibly having a separate fantasy league with a money buy in and payouts. Curious if there would be any interest on here to do it. It would be a slightly different format than the current scoring system. My idea would be pick 10-15 of the bigger races left to run this year. Each round you would pick 5-6 drivers and your best 4 finishes that round will get scored with your worst being a tie breaker if needed. However, you would only be able to pick each driver 5 times. Only the headline race would count. Meaning at the World or Dream for example, only the 100 lap finale would count for points. The prelims would not count for anything except a tie breaker if needed. $10-20 entry each round with half the purse going to that rounds winners and the other half going to the championship purse with all money transfers being done thru paypal.

Like i said, this is just an idea I've had and just trying to see how much interest there would be. Let me know what you think and any suggestions you might have that might make it better than my proposal.

I'd participate too. Not a fan of limiting how many times a certain guy is picked though.

I’m open to doing it without a limit. The only reason I suggested a limit is to prevent the same guys getting picked every time. Not saying that would definitely happen, but putting a limit would prevent that and add another element of strategy.

Also what races would you all like to see in this mini series? Wouldn’t want any more than 15 races tops

Yes sir it would definitely bring a different thought process and new element to the picks. I appreciate the work you do on the normal pick threads even though I didn't get in this time. I'll participate in your money picks either way.

As for which races you might include ones that pay more than $20k. Dream, N/s, firecracker, dirt million, world 100, USA nats, silver dollar nats, topless, etc

I’m in either way but I will make a suggestion. Put a price on each driver based on the particular track and have a salary cap like draft kings. Actually maybe not, that seems like it would be extra time consuming

I want the picks limit it brings strategy into it instead of your typical chalk betters betting Bloomer and Sheppard week after week... We can start with the Show Me...

The races that I had in mind were the show me, dream, world, USA nationals, topless, silver dollar, firecracker, north/south, pdc, dirt million, possibly Knoxville and possibly a couple more of the $20k+ shows.

Putting a price on each driver and a salary cap sounds good in theory but I’m not nearly knowledgeable enough to come up with a system that would make that work.

I’m guessing PayPal is how we square up?

I agree with Hoosier. Your going to have to have more groups or there will be several ties. Maybe tiebreaker is how many laps winner leads during race. You will have to keep all picks hidden, a deadline 2-3 hours before race begins and then release all picks before the race starts.

Im not sure how you would do tie breakers for a single round winner..on average how many guys tie in the league we got now, im assuming quite a few...and if you put a picks limit you wouldnt need tiers or groups, choose anybody and everybody who ur heart desires, but choose wisely cause when there gone there gone...

There’s a group on Facebook that does it. Major league dirt racing. They do the whole lucas series and other “crown jewls” (20k+ races)
