If someone else wanted to come up with a tier system and send it to me a week before each event, I would be ok with that but that would likely take more time than I would have for it.

One possible solution to a tie breaker would be your best 4 drivers count and you pick 4-6 drivers each round and rank them in the order you want them to be used as a tie breaker. The odds of multiple people picking the same drivers and putting them in the same order I would think are extremely unlikely.

I should have the time to do this. That’s why I limited the rounds I would do to 10 or so so that it wouldn’t be to much added work. With that said, I’m not 100% that I’ll start this mini league just yet. I’m just trying to gauge interest right now.

I think the best way to do the entry is do it per pick. Either do it $1-3 per pick or put drivers in different tiers that have a different value. That way you can pick as many or as few as you want per round but regardless of how many drivers you take, only your best 4 count each round and once you pick a driver 5 times then that’s it for him. This way you can spend as much or as little as you want and still have a chance at winning.

Yep.....I've always thought betting at the track like they do the ponies would be a great idea. Not sure how it would work but maybe it's something some tracks should look at.

dch with all due respect I would just simplify this..pick any 5 drivers, top 4 finishing drivers points count, tie breaker is 5th driver. If they have same driver split the weekly purse...and only top 4 points drivers get counted as a usage the 5th driver dont get charged a usage...5 uses per driver for the season...

There would be way too many ties...if you could pick any 5 drivers most of the lineups would look the same. Bloomer, Richards, Davenport would be chalk every week on the Lucas tour, same with Sheppard, Madden, Marlar on WoO.

Not with the picks limit..unless you have no interest in winning the overall points, it would be foolish to use up all the A-list drivers at once, you may win one week or two but thats about it...

Not that my opinion matters, but the best way to do it would be like DFS (Draftkings and fanduel). Let's say 6 roster spots, have a $50,000 salary cap. Each week the pricing changes on drivers, for instance Scott Bloomquist at Eldora would be the most expensive driver. Have it to where not every would have to pick Bloomer at his best tracks if you kept his price tag high enough.

Ur right it would be a task Penn..if somebody could figure out the drivers salaries like dk that would be best I agree I just want some strategy involed. I dont like that 98 percent of the participants have Bloomer n Sheppard week after week after week, in a salary cap JD and them two should be sky high so their 5-6 picks would be locals lol...
