A CDL is definitely needed to operate a tractor-trailer. Not positive, but I think the driver might need a haz-mat endorsement. I'm sure someone here knows for sure and will set me straight if I'm incorrect.Originally posted by zach51 View PostYeah Tim's rig is a nascar style, big long trailer with regular tractor.

I'm also fairly certain that even those "registered RV's" also need CDL's to drive but I still could be wrong. Why is it that everyone that asks for crew help always say "CDL preferred" then? I always just thought they did the "Registered RV" thing so that they wouldn't have to report their IFTA fuel across state lines and/or mess with having to get permits or stop at weigh stations.

Some states do and some states dont now on the RV thing. Illini found out how much money they lost on plates. So you have to not do this or that now or get a ticket.Originally posted by zach51 View PostI'm also fairly certain that even those "registered RV's" also need CDL's to drive but I still could be wrong.
