I don't know what is wrong with that promoter, but that place has gone to H in a handcart, and I hate to see that.
Some of the drivers want it that way also, maybe they have the pull??? The berm is also flattening as are the straightaways as one/or more of the drivers has railed to get that done.
Only been three times there all season and got dirtier than a coal miner every time.

B-town is my home track. And I'm sure I'll be there next weekend, but I agree, this year has been INSANE with dust and dirt, I will also say I am aware that I went to a DIRT track, but I go to alot of dirt tracks and its NOTHING like that place, absolutely covered within minutes, it's so bad u cant even see the cars on the track....

Been going to Brownstown for 35 years and seen many races that were so dusty you couldn't see the backstretch. This cannot be pinned on this promoter. He!! Price, Keithley clear back to Roger Williams all struggled with keeping moisture in the track.
Hope they get some rain early in the week and are able to put on a great show next weekend.

Sorry to say but I don't think they struggle to keep moisture in the track, they just struggle to "PUT" ANY moisture on and in the track!!!Originally posted by In The Gas View PostBeen going to Brownstown for 35 years and seen many races that were so dusty you couldn't see the backstretch. And the sad fact is, is that it's by design. Spot Sprinkling certain parts of the track, and then turning the water off,
in other areas.
Back in the late 1980's they would put 36,000 gallons or more on the track, on race day. (I heard the announcer say that one night), and now look what you get. About one third that amount?
This will be my last Jackson 100 unless I see much improvement on this one, if we do go.
I hope it turns out good too. But my hope tank is about as empty as their water truck!!!

Yes, you are getting to the facts.Originally posted by GEAR_HEAD View PostThey never disk it. That has always been their problem. You can't water a rock! They need to go Fairbury, Macon, or Haubstadt to see how it's done.
I remember a time when there was no dust or very little. And if the grandstand got some dust in them , they washed them with a hose. Now they are just totally filthy. Every seat, even all of them under the roof. It's like somebody is just trying to lose their job.
HD, you actually left?Last edited by Clayton_Wetter; 09-16-2018, 05:56 PM.

Word on the street is that a former Brownstown promoter was wanting it back. Don’t know how those talks are going.

Must be someone else on the fair board, that seems to be the only people allowed to be promoters there. It's been political there for many years now.
