Used to be a lot of hom cooking years ago too but you could still see some good racing. The last one I went to was probably I'm guessing 10 years ago at the icebreaker I believe Earl Pearson won that one. And if you don't get there by 130 2 o'clock you're pretty much screwed on a decent place to sit information

Rain chances have fallen to 20% now for Saturday.. But Friday is looking very bad.
So does a rain out on Friday mean a purse cut for Saturday like a couple years ago?Last edited by Clayton_Wetter; 09-18-2018, 05:26 PM.

One day shows pay $12,000 to win; 2 day shows pay $20,000 to win... drivers getting cheated out of purse money on these two day shows.Originally posted by Clayton_Wetter View PostRain chances have fallen to 20% now for Saturday.. But Friday is looking very bad.

Back on topic, I'd bet my arse that they cut it if they lose a night."The Wise One"

If they cut to one day, history says it will be 15K. I believe that to total BS. It’s still 100 laps. Most 100 papers deserve at least 20K. On another note, people interested in going should read the website for seat marking times and gate opening times.Scott Kleindorfer

It's bullsh1t that they started doing that purse cut deal, the place seats PLENTY of people to cover the total purse and it will be packed full, hope everyone enjoys watching the dustbowl 100....

If it is a dust bowl it will be my last one. And they can still pay $20K for a one day event. Seating is near 5 thousand. 4 1/2 for sure. It will be packed once again.Originally posted by superstock79 View PostIt's bullsh1t that they started doing that purse cut deal, the place seats PLENTY of people to cover the total purse and it will be packed full, hope everyone enjoys watching the dustbowl 100....

Brownstown is lucky they have fans who are clueless to what is and is not racing... cars go round and round is racing...lol
But above fans at any track, how can drivers deal with the lack of track prep... just amazes me on how it all continues to even exist... few tracks even care about the actual race quality...
It's just amazing the way of the world these days.

I remember my last race at browntstown, the track was so bad the cars actually fishbowled. The leader couldnt even catch the backmarkers, just like watching fish swim in a bowl. That of course was after the 5 supporting classes. Never to return.
