I run pretty well with a g29 other than mods... it’s hard to tell when you’re spinning tires. I guess some better pedals vibrate when you break tires loose. It’s the most fun I’ve ever had playing any type of video game in my life

Getting the G29 for $200 is a stretch, wheel I have, and $400-$500 I wouldn’t buy it. You’ll just have to upgrade it very soon. I’d spend $800+ on the computer and you’d be good for a few years.

The guy who won the spring fling uses a G29. Weaver had a Fanatec and replaced it with a G29. G29 is really good for dirt

You can get refurbished models of both the Logitech G29 and the G920 at Amazon for $200. Daughter is getting married the middle of June. I hope to begin my Iracing career by the end of June.

I think the $800 number thrown out is pretty accurate - you can get a decent pre build gaming PC with the 3gb 1060 (not VR capable) in the $500 range and that will run iR on med-high settings for the next few years. The G29 is what I use and it is pretty good. Almost everyone has a TV that is HDMI capable already so good to go there. If money isn't an issue I'd suggest upgrading to a PC capable of VR and getting a Lenovo Explorer (cheap VR) as it makes a huge difference.

For you guys who don't have time time to make setups, you should try running Sprints. Late Models and Mods require good setups to be decent, but Sprints I can win races with the default setups after adjusting wing angle. I run a league on Wed nights and we have a lot of guys who work full time and are competitive just because the sprints are less setup dependent, I only race on Wed and Sunday nights and I would consider myself to be competitive in Sprints, but definitely struggle in Late Models and Mods unless its fixed set.
